C'mon now, who wouldn't want to emulate the Colts?

White Sox hire Phil Nevin as Special Assistant in Player Development
Well, we can't exactly score by hitting homers with Moncada Robert Jimenez Abreu Burger off the team, so...let's mimic the Royals' approach, but without their contact hitters and stolen base threats.

Isn't that supposed to be Green Beret/quality control guy Mahler?

White Sox hire Phil Nevin as Special Assistant in Player Development
Who was that when Grifol was manager...the so called "good cop"? Grady Sizemore was supposed to be the opposite...genuinely a players' manager. What is his role now? Nevin would seem like a non uniforned guy in this newmy established role...except perhaps when visiting minor league affiliates.

TLR "spy" inserted into the mix, lol. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Just more names for Luis Robert not to remember/recognize upon leaving the organization.

White Sox hire Phil Nevin as Special Assistant in Player Development
Angry they're thinking Sox fans would be equally as excited about coaching staff additions than actually improving the team through real talent via free agency...

White Sox hire Phil Nevin as Special Assistant in Player Development
That's probably what everyone would have thought about Wonder Boy Getz vis a vis "old/er lions" KW and Hahn...especially with the TLR connections to Kevin so obvious. Or we're more concerned with finding well-paying jobs on our coaching staff than logic ally fitting them all together. How many scouts do we have left standing after the bloodletting this past 18 months? And what exactly does Hostetler do now/still?

Colson Montgomery - How long until he proves he is a MLB shortstop?
Just look at how that stadium in Birmingham has historically suppressed numbers while Charlotte has provided the almost opposite in flat ing counter point...

Colson Montgomery - How long until he proves he is a MLB shortstop?
Braden Montgomery is going to take 2 1/2 years to get to the majors in all likelihood....especially since he missed his first short season assignment due to injury. Starts 2025 in High A if he's fully recovered...then AA/AAA in 2026 and hopefully starting RF in Chicago, somewhere in Year 3.

Pitching continues to skyrocket, Manaea to Mets, Texas trades Lowe to Nats
https://www.mlb.com/news/nathaniel-lowe-trade-nationals-rangers Lowe to Nate for young LHP...frees up more room for Burger and lowers payroll Sean Manaea signs for $75 million/3 years...will the board shift to developing and trading pitching as the White Sox best long term survival strategy???

CWS Acquire Reliever Cam Booser from BOS
Just being "more than a casual fan of the White Sox" drove the majority of us to booze/drugs as a coping mechanism, with or without the presence of a Booser in the bullpen. Well, there was Boof Bonser and Carlos Boozer and Cameron/Cayden Boozer, so why not this guy with the cool-sounding name and pretty incredible backstory???

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
95 83 81 86 83 99 90 72 (2007) 89 79 88 79 85 Not counting the 1950's and 60's, 2000-2012 is going to go down as the longest record of sustained/sustainable success in White Sox history (under KW). Seven "really competitive" (85 wins and above) seasons out of 13, or roughly 1/2th the time. Only one really poor year (2007), unfortunately it followed the biggest year in history for franchise attendance and pretty much destroyed any momentum and 2005/06 teams had generated. Even then, 2010 and 2012 were "fun/competitive" years. Now it seems like a miracle just to get back to 60 wins, let alone .500ish.

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
Mariners LAD Padres and maybe SF the most logical based on the criteria provided so far by Wolfe.

Colson Montgomery - How long until he proves he is a MLB shortstop?
Charlotte for half your home games...850-925 should be the equivalent of roughly 750-800 at Birmingham.

Colson Montgomery - How long until he proves he is a MLB shortstop?
Yes....leave him there until he hits 900 plus for at least 6-8 weeks.

Schriffen does it again...
"The former American baseball player, Chris Getz, married his wife, Nicole Korinek, on January 28, 2012. They together share three kids- two daughters and a son." At least 10-12 years away from the first Sox female GM...Hahn's son won the 2008 coin flip guess and has pursued baseball as a passion, but carrying that last name is going to make things harder on him in reality.

Colson Montgomery - How long until he proves he is a MLB shortstop?
After the AFL and his 4-6 weeks...sending him back to BIRM would be pretty demoralizing and totally unnecessary at this point. Get him on a field as close to MLB specifications and see if he can?hold his own at short or needs to be moved to third or first.

Are you going to cryogenically freeze yourself for the next Sox playoff team?

White Sox Projected Rotations
Unless they have elite stuff and spotty command and/or secondary pitches...worst case you throw them at the bullpen and hope to produce closer internal that you can auction off to the highest bidders.

Draft Kings sets Sox O/U at 49.5 wins
We also would have had two MVP level talents in Semien and Tatis, but never would have extended them.

Tanner Banks? oops asked/answered.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
Still not going to move the meter to anywhere but mired in mediocrity at best. Stars/superstars is the only way out of this...and we're in the process of dumping the two remaining special players in Crochet and Robert for an uncertain future at best. That and thedraft 1-1 draft slot are the only ways out of the quagmire.

CWS Acquire Reliever Cam Booser from BOS
And yet you've spent more hours than the entire Bears' season in real time defending a GM...well, now you have Cali on your side too taking a devil's advocate position since arguing the same points unceasingly was getting too monotonous. There has been one notable shift. The Sox fans are no longer getting blamed for this mess...all downward arrows are pointing at ownership's almost deliberate sabotage of the payroll and surrendering media/tv battle almost completely over to Ricketts and the Cubs. Capitulation.

24-25 NFL Thread
Saw the exact same thing with ND PSU Texas and Ohio State in cfb playoffs...teams that dominate line play, run the ball well and get pressure on the passer usually win. Nothing complicated here, just sheer physical domination. Hopefully next round will be much better games.
