  1. That only cost us Burger at the trade deadline...albeit the acquisition target was 25 and left-handed.
  2. "Josh Bell and Jake Burger have made a massive difference for the Marlins," just stated unequivocally by Karl Ravech.
  3. They would have to find a cheaper niche like speed/defense and move back the dimensions to that of the old stadium. Bullpen and utility overspending was a fiasco under Hahn. Simply no way they will spend bundles in FA across 3-5 guys. Lucky to get 1-2.
  4. KyYle? I remember being eviscerated by this so-called evidence when this story first broke and how taking Bauer’s side (of taking a step back to assess) in any way shape or form was the moral equivalent of repeating the same act oneself against any and all women.
  5. Clevinger Puig Tatis also had ties to that woman...which would pretty much break Sox talk if all three and Bauer were on the 2024 squad.
  6. Isn’t this supposed to be when she was claiming a “fractured skull” with an x-ray to validate that claim?
  7. They didn’t even need to do that before/until they traded Burger…
  8. Bannister and Katz are also tied together...
  9. Do we know for a fact that Hostetler is out? Maybe Luis Robert will learn Charlie Montoyo's name finally?
  10. Riley can't coach defense either. And bigger problem is that Williams takes lots of chances with his arms and legs that are going to end up as pick 6s or sacks/injuries instead of long runs in the NFL. Will take a year or two to figure out what he can't get away with. A lot of similarities with Mahomes in terms of creativity, obviously.
  11. And bringing back the manager associated with that historical ineptitude. Inspiring.
  12. Quantrill has been a solid starter as well...
  13. https://sports.yahoo.com/carlos-rodon-admits-he-turned-his-back-on-yankees-pitching-coach-during-disaster-start-really-embarrassing-151934777.html
  14. Except Burger has consistently been running faster on the bases than Yoan for the majority of this season and was a top 1/3rd-ish runner overall...2006 team ultimately failed due to pitching. And they still won 90 with two even better teams in the same division.
  15. Wouldn't count on it. Clevinger wasn't well liked in SD...and they traded a boatload of talent for him. Think he ends the year on a sour note.
  16. Lynn Kelly The formerly bearded Yankee + Sox Day Care Thief maybe Graveman
  17. They can still trade Soto next year but that would signal the end of Preller and/or Melvin or both.

  19. Just here for the Ron883 meltdown.
  20. Brewers might have gotten away with it anyway…
  21. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38522456/chase-claypool-upset-bears-losses-unsure-best-spot Bears and Sox interchangeable
  22. Of course, no PR either. If the Marlins have to go back to Miami and can’t hold that 2-1 lead Monday…
  23. Thought it would be the Reds 2-3 months ago but they simply weren't willing to pay the going rates for pitching at the deadline. Giants also did a massive fade but overachieved so much until that wasn't enough.
