  1. Pre-injury, I'd love to have Reyes, but I'm not going to want to go after another superstar w/ injury problems. We already have Jake Peavy.
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 06:22 PM) That may be true; but in a results sense, he hasn't been. He's just "winning ugly".
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 06:45 PM) This is true for pretty much anyone, but especially someone who went to ND and plays for the Cubs. You makin' me cry.
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 10:21 PM) I just realized that the home run derby is on ESPN. Not Fox. Sorry for the error, but I'm not fixing it. Ah, nevermind, I don't want this anymore.
  5. "I wish I had 25 Juan Pierres" I threw up in my mouth.
  6. T. Kuhn went 3/4, 2B. Reed went 1 IP, 1 H, 1 K. Wilkins 3/5, HR, 2 RBI
  7. Well, Carcillo is good, but he joins Seabrook in my "most hated Blackhawks" club.
  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 05:18 PM) Danks might be sought after by them. They need a lefty. Of course, Edwin Jackson would be easier to part with, but he's not much better than the guys that they have right now. Sabathia has a 3.9 WAR Edwin has about a 2.5 WAR Garcia has a 1.1 WAR Burnett has a 0.9 WAR Nova has a 0.7 WAR Gordon has a -0.2 WAR Yankees 2-5 starters (2.5 WAR) So, yeah, Edwin is basically as good as all of their starting pitchers COMBINED this year (minus Sabathia, of course).
  9. I really hope we can retain Frolik and Stalberg.
  10. Tom Hanks thinks they are starting to write Toy Story 4 script now.
  11. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 10:24 PM) I'm in the middle of Breaking Bad season 3, and it's the best so far. And his wife is somehow becoming more and more of a b****, which was a tough thing to do. Yep. I've hated that c*** since S1 E1. It actually reminds me a little of my uncle's divorce right now.
  12. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 01:50 PM) Cody Winiarski assigned to Great Falls, Marcus Semien assigned to Kannapolis. That was quick. I'm a fan of him.
  13. QUOTE (Yoda @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 04:16 PM) Nice win! I will be in attendance tomorrow to hopefully see them raise the BP Cup They apparently clinched it today. I think the last team to lead the series gets the cup, and the since the Cubs can only tie the series, the Sox locked it up, I believe.
  14. T. Kuhn went 2/4, 2B. Petricka with a "not so good" outing in his High-A debut. Ravelo went 2/2 with a walk.
  15. Haha, funny and cool. Also, VERY easy to read. Nicely done. Hopefully August can feature Viciedo!
  16. QUOTE (LayelBurton @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 04:00 PM) Wes Whisler sent back to Charlotte again. Jon Bachanov to Kannapolis Nice. He looks like he has a good arm.
  17. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 01:57 PM) I'd still like to at least see his stuff... This team is so boring to me, seeing someone new is exciting and since Viciedo isn't an option apparently, Santiago is my only choice haha Yeah, I'd rather they call someone up that they are actually going to let see the field.
  18. Yeah, I think I agree on just everything there. Verlander/Weaver is pretty much a toss-up.
  19. QUOTE (The Baconator @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 10:33 AM) Sounds like this should be a poll? I can't imagine a more obvious thread for a poll. Lol.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 08:31 AM) Megatron? Glockatron.
  21. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 10:26 PM) Jeff Cox sending Quentin on a 90 ft. suicide mission was so awesome...the whole time that ball with in the air as the Smith was coming in...in...in I was screaming "SEND HIM! SEND HIM!". The 5% chance that Smith would make an awful throw to allow a run to score was well worth the risk with Rios on deck...then Rios weakly pops to second, hence making the decision look all the greater. As Ozzie said in the post game....with our offense being this bad, you have to take every chance you can get to score because we aren't good enough right now to sit around and wait.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 04:57 PM) There's not enough good flicks released in a year to warrant $600. Definitely not. I go to about 2-3 movies a year, and usually 1 or 2 of those are at the drive-in (2 movies for $8 total and I can bring outside food? Umm...yes please).
