    QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) Facebook > My Space MySpace is basically for those kids who decided not to go to college or the people who aren't past high school. There is a high school facebook isn't there...Facebook and myspace are so different. I have both...my ex girlfriend made my sign up for myspace, but now I enjoy it...I have 21 friends on myspace, 20 of whom I talk to and am friends with (one is a band I didn't mind). I have about 200 Facebook friends, and that is more lax...as too many people want to have a ton of friends...I reject them. Facebook is more to keep in touch, myspace is more like what you've been doing.
  2. QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) I see it as worthless and along the lines of the WNBA in Chicago.
  3. The last ten years I lived in Chicago, I cannot remember seeing more than a game per season, and often times it was when I went to the game. Hockey is almost dead in Chicago for a reason and should stay that way IMHO.
  4. Gotta love a former Spartan...on a side note, there were rumors when he was here in East Lansing that he had some form of drug use...take that for what it's worth.
  5. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) you have? This one time when I was little...
  6. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) If you've ever gone to East Lansing, you'd know that it doesn't matter how well or bad Michigan plays - it's the game to win. Although ND is a big team, I don't consider it a big game because it didn't have Big Ten or Bowl implications for the Spartans. Ya weren't here last year then...the ND game is a huge game. Nothing compares to the Michigan game, but ND is the other big game we play. The school was buzzing for the ND game this year, so I disagree. And yes, I've been to East Lansing.
  7. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 1, 2005 -> 05:55 PM) I guess things turned out differently than you thought huh? What did you just think that Sparty was gonna go in there and blow them out? No, I was actually passed out like half of the school. I spent a good 24 hours drunk, I couldn't even drink tonight. Woke up for the OT, it happens. Too bad too, we have no defense, I don't know what else to say. 0-3 vs them now since I've been here.
  8. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 09:35 PM) No arguement here. That is why I wanted this game bad cuz I knew they would lose next week in Lansing. I CANNOT WAIT!
  9. QUOTE(1549 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 01:38 PM) For the record, I am not seriously promoting going out and intentionally injuring Stanton. If he does sprain an ankle or something, I would be relieved. But I think its wrong to hurt players on purpose. Especially for Michigan...we are the class of the big ten. Leave choking to the team from that state to the south. It's a different team...John L has them ready...can you say blow out for the Spartans!
  10. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 06:46 PM) Michigan State wins.

    Woah

    Wait, what the f*** is it?
  12. The key is to know alot of frat guys, and not actually join a frat. Drink for free, that's the way to be. No way Steven wants to pay for his friends, when his friends can pay for him to drink!
  13. I like it alot, and I have never watched 24. I don't like that much TV in this genre, so I am really enjoying it. Never seen the Sopranos either, so I'm picky.
  14. Dustin, he's earned it if he is healthy IMHO.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) Jose Vizcaino can bearly field his position when he's pitching, how do you expect him to play thirdbase well? Luis?
  16. Calling Bradley and idiot and so on fits...Bradley takes it, because he is black and Kent is white, as racist. Calling an idiot an idiot fits in my book.
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 04:50 PM) once again Which one's the robot? :rolly
  18. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 01:13 PM) The CNNSI guy did an absolutely horrendous job of creating a Red Sox team. Here's what I have seen on another board, which is far and away better than the White Sox team, which makes it hard to believe how you can say the Red Sox "draft for s***." Yuck...I'd take the White Sox...
  19. QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) According to a post at WSI: Garland, Pods, Buerhle, and Garcia also cleared and are eligible for trade Marte and Politte were claimed but pulled back so they can't be dealt QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) I'd claim any player the Sox put on waivers. Noone has a gian menacing contract and are all in pretty good health. It makes no sense for Buehrle to clear. QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) That's BS...Podsednik does not make too much money, and was an AS. Garland still has a year of arbitration left, and isn't too expensive for someone who's had his season, and if it don't work out, ya could go the route of AJ with the Giants last year. Garcia I could see getting picked up too. That is a total BS rumor. Especially with NYY needing a CF, Pods would work well there. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) The whole theory of what 'waivers' actually are, is still eluding the masses on this website... Almost everyone gets put on waivers. They are tossed on there just to measure the amount of interest other teams have in your players, etc. There is no intention to trade the aforementioned players, nor is there anyway that these teams will allow them to be picked up by other clubs. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 03:06 PM) Steve... just because a player is put on waivers doesn't mean anything as far as them being claimed. The owning team can pull them back at any second, and does most of the time. Also, the claiming team pays a claiming fee to even put in a claim.. pretty damn stupid to pay a claim fee if you know the owning team will just pull the player back dontcha think..? It's all about interest. The were on waivers, along with just about all the rest of the team. Read them in order...Steff you know I know how waivers and everything work. I was talking about the original post (the first one I quoted here). I was saying why those players would not make it through in reality, not why I thought the Sox were crazy to put them on waivers. Sorry for the mixup guys, I should have quoted the first post instead of the second, sorry.

  21. QUOTE(WSFAN35 @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 10:42 PM) Benson isn't biting on the final offer. He essentialy has ruined the start of his NFL career. He can't go back to college. He'll reenter the draft next year, get picked a lot lower and won't get anywhere near the amount of money he was offered this year. Terrible decision on his part. Personally, I could care less if he's on the Bears. f*** em. Yeah, right now I feel the same way.
