QUOTE(bulokis @ May 28, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) WTF? Who is the GM of SF, is he drunk or what. Good trade for the cubs. Jerome Williams is one of my fave young pitcher. He is actually a very good GM.

QUOTE(sircaffey @ May 27, 2005 -> 07:11 PM) Eyy...I question Frank abilities at the current moment. If he hits like pre-injury 2004, then 3 hole, if not 5 hole. Konerko is the RBI guy on the team. Needs to be 4th. Chavez draws walks and is a better hitter than Frank. I could really care less how those 3 are situated, just as long as those 3 are on the team. I would love all three on this team too, I just think it fits better that way. JMHO though.

QUOTE(sircaffey @ May 27, 2005 -> 06:54 PM) Except almost all the team is under contract at least through 2007. With Anderson and McCarthy waiting to step in as 2 very cheap and solid replacements for Dye and Contreras, attendence on the rise, and JR saying before the season there is still money available to spend, there is good reason to believe that Chavez can be added to this team with no subtractions. About your signature... 1. Podsednik LF L 2. Iguchi 2B R 3. Thomas DH R 4. Chavez 3B L 5. Konerko 1B R 6. Rowand CF R 7. Pierzynski C L 8. Dye RF R 9. Uribe SS R Thomas in the three hole, Chavez cleaing up a la when Tejada batted third in OAK, Konerko is better suited for the fifth hole too.

QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 27, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Another reason to call up Brian Anderson. Or let Jermaine Dye tear it up.

I could see Howe getting it.

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 26, 2005 -> 05:52 PM) He is done. I tore my right labrum and I still can't throw and it's almost been a year. I really feel for him, it sucks major balls to tear the labrum in your throwing shoulder. If he does come back, it won't be for long. The injury is going to keep coming back, as it has for me. I am sure he would also have better medical access than you do. Players have come back from worse, who know. We will just have to see.

Bonderman, Garland, Ryan Franklin, Ben Hendrickson, and Mike Maroth all had comparable numbers enough going into this season. He is a solid number two, he is only their number one because, well, Maroth is their number two. He is good, but still raw. I'd take Carlos Zambrano who is a year older over him in a second. He seems like a good kid though. 2003 was his first year, lost 19 games IIRC.
-
I'd take Vargas...and Day.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 25, 2005 -> 11:06 AM) If they get suspended, I would That is ignorant.

I actually saw this article through a wrestling site, and who knows. It's not saying everyone who wears red will win, and everyone who wears blue will lose. Keep in mind, there are only two colors in the sports they chose, red and blue.

One of my buddies is a season ticket holder for the, gulp, Blackhawks. He said that he was offered tickets for $200 each, looks like a good thing he didn't go.

Carlos Zambrano addicted to the Internet?!?

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 23, 2005 -> 12:58 AM) He needs to learn how to cyber with his non-pitching hand... ROTFLMAO!!! -
QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ May 22, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) Yes, the kid who can't slug over .400 in High-A is superior to the kid in AAA whose OPS is nearly 1.000. I won't consider Sweeney a bonafide A or even A- prospect until his power comes along. 101 ABs without a homer? That's horriffic. "Not to sound like a queer or nothing, but...." What a funny ass movie, good ava.

QUOTE(Yoda @ May 22, 2005 -> 04:27 PM) It really was kind of bad. You know what scene got the audience laughing? When Yoda takes care of the Emperor's guards with just a single push of the force. That was FANTASTIC! Also at the beginning when a bad guy kicks over R2D2 like he was a garbage can, that was funny as hell too.

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ May 21, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) I am sure their "expert" wroter is referring to Shingo and maybe Vizcaino. Hermy obviously has been great. Politte also and for the most part Marte. Yeah, I took it as a whole for the bullpen, also technically Shingo was considered the Sox closer, so I could see it considered a commitee even though we know it's not.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 21, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Bring up GIO!!!! No.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 21, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) Give me Wagner instead. I'm pretty sure he's cheaper. Isn't Wagner making $8?

McCarthy idea-Bmac promoted to the big time?
SuperSteve replied to Princess Dye's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He moved so quicky last year, just let him settle in. No need to tinker... -
Well I liked it. There is still some stuff I see difficult to tie with IV, V, and VI, but all in all it is easily the best of the three prequils.

QUOTE(sec159row2 @ May 18, 2005 -> 10:00 AM) the twins are always respectful in their comments.. but, in private I'm sure they HATE the sox... Torii I would agree with. But, Cuddyer doesn't come off as the type of guy who is a prick. Some of them, LeCroy for example, seem like nice guys.

QUOTE(mreye @ May 18, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) I forgot about that as well until I read it in an article this morning. I think it was CBS Sportsline. I was actually thinking about it last night watching the Angels/Injuns game. I remember being a big fan of it then.

Good read.

Damn, it is a clear yes though.

Every school has it. I don't find it addicting, I just say yes to the people who want to be my friends. I love hearing stories about guys finding girls to mess around with on there.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ May 16, 2005 -> 12:59 PM) I don't actually have a tv.... But I usually go to someone's house to watch (either live or Tivo'ed) Arrested Development & CSI: Las Vegas and old episodes of this cartoon called Invader Zim. I've also seen The Office a few times and it was pretty funny. The American or English Office? The English one is funnier...my ex-girlfriend has that and Coupling on DVD, it is funny as hell.
