It might be an uncomplicated answer, like Sox having too many young catchers on the three low minors teams who are ranked ahead of Ayala. The writing was prob on the wall last year when he played about once a week at Bristol in his second pro year.

The problem is caused by women.

I just found a current roster for the AZL team, and Sammy Ayala was not on it. Was he cut?

I think Conor at 2B would have struggled with the final out that GB made fairly routinely, with the tying run about to score. The ball is going to keep finding him in clutch situations, so he has to get over it.
