  1. Unfortunately Americans demand that in modern day sports. If a player doesn't smash a cooler or throw a big fit it must mean they don't care. If look at the legends of sports they didn't wear their emotions on their sleeves.
  2. that was impressive
  3. ya think that guy could steal home?
  4. If it makes you feel better the Sox manhandled the Pirates and Detroit is having trouble with them.
  5. so have they won 4 in a row yet?
  6. TLR/Grifol era was such a cancer. So many regressed or out of baseball. It's still a mystery how that got into players' heads that may have caused this. Robert is the only one left of that era. It's sad how this turned out. I never like the Grifol hire since he was from a habitual losing organization. That stuff spreads obviously. His statements before he started as manager here were not impressive.
  7. A lot of these politician should suggest something like this when owners threaten to leave because they can't have new stadiums.
  8. the result is either stagnant or regression......I they could only have the rare find....like they got the better end of a deal
  9. I would think the hanging slider would be easier.
  10. Jerry doesn't think so.
  11. I'm not 78 but at some point I could see age saying you can't do this anymore.
  12. Too many assumptions..... Sox get good under Ishbia..... who knows when? really compete until..... what does compete mean? These things aren't certain. My lack of optimism is based on history.
  13. you spelled lousy wrong. Legacy organizations are the Dodgers and Yankees. More so the Yankees. Interesting that many of their free agents seem to be productive. Sure they get a dude once in a while but I imagine any player would love to wear uniform and not for Halloween. The old Sox legacy started out by throwing a World Series.
  14. AN opportunity for the WNBA to become more popular than MLB
  15. This is why you promote from within and the only qualification is "within". He doesn't want to hear free outside advice that he is doing it wrong.
  16. Not sure how his post related to the Cubs unless it was edited.
  17. So it's what have you done lately vs. an established pattern that keeps repeating. There is one constant in the latter. I could understand if the team went through more than one owner. The pattern is fans can't have nice things. If so it's temporary.
  18. The former player thing just can never go away. Both were not very good at baseball either. I wonder if the Sox do this more than anyone.
  19. Signing as a non dumpster dive FA does that too but maybe that is on the Sox scouting
  20. LOL I forgot about it until it was mentioned.
  21. Look at all of the legends that wore an A;s uniform.
  22. Which is sad. Jenks has a good one and so did Ryan.....both very hard throwers
  23. I wouldn't rule that out...........
  24. Says every fan of a habitual losing team, Then ask Naylor and Tucker "please become a White Sox" and then trying to imagine their reaction.
  25. The new trend in baseball is the labeling called "smart" players. Maybe that's a White Sox thing. My translation is just good enough to never play but flirt with playing .500 baseball but not look really bad at losing.
