Vaughn/Elko updates...
The Elko thing is a mystery. I get it if they told him they were going to bring him up only for a few weeks. So now they messed with a player giving a small sample size. What kind of message does that send to minor league players? People will come up with all sorts of reasons but this organization still proves they are clueless in handling things. They only fix is new ownership and one that will gut the organization as much as possible but not bring in people who have the potential to be worse. Like........uh no Getz promotions and tell Tony to go take a nap. Hasn't Tony been an advisor before in other organizations and they not improved? Fans now believe in small sample sizes to pronounce failure but also have the meaningless stats on potential players who still don't have it together after a few years. Was Elko a savior? No, but I wonder how many other players lose a chance with 30 at bats? There's even all star players who went through slumps. Clueless. I don't know how a fan can have any faith in the organization at all. They are like the other losing teams that will be constantly rebuilding by getting rid of good players because they wont win with those players. Shouldn't this have worked with the Pirates or Marlins by now?

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
A false faith without a crystal ball

6/1 Sox @ Orioles 12:35 PM
It's been that way long before the current group. They even draft them that way,

The problem is he is still there.

He really doesn't want to be traded.

Grifol made it worse. Before managing a game he point out problems from his other 100 loss team from the dugout. He was a kiss ass and that's what appealed to Jerry. People forget Getz also push for him. Getz has the bad Royal envy and so far it is working. You don't get better getting people from losing organizations.

Don't bet the house: Sox @ Orioles 5/31 3:05PM CDT
A real manager would bench him. That just looks stupid and worse on a last place team. I assume the ump didn't make the call either.

I often wonder if it would be different if Hinch was the manager. It just seems the TLR/Grifol era was toxic.

Yet Elko was given a small sample size. It's hard for Baldwin to make an out. I tend to believe these ??? decisions are from TLR. You know they manager who intentionally walked hitters with a 1-2 count twice.

Vargas last 28 games
the (insert player) was DFA'd should the Sox take a chance? it happens in every sport with fans of bad teams The Sox are not the change of scenery cure either

I guess we were deluded looking at the O's record thinking there's a chance of steam rolling them and we realize they are still the White Sox. Maybe they had some false confidence.

for that mythical .00001 chance of a suspect disguised as a prospect can't dismiss the habitual losing small market thought process in the land of false hopes

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Always hindsight. The mental illness of get something while it's hot is for small market habitual losing teams like the Sox. I never trust trade rumors because that's what they are and who knows for sure if the Reds were really going to do that. I doesn't seem plausible from their side also being a budget team. I guess they can chance next year. It's not like the team is burdened with a bunch of higher salaries. Change of scenery trades never work for sorry ass teams. At the same time maybe they need to purge the players from the TLR/Grifol era. How many of those players even not on the team have not shown serious decline? Those players are cursed. They had a segment on him in Foul Territory. He went thru 3 different managers.

White Sox to get Montgomery back to Charlotte (late) next week, still eyeing majors (Janish)
People can post these miniscule stats all day but take your eyes away from the paper and see "not a good player right now". It's like the NFL combine but game film doesn't lie,

Thank God for the Rockies
They are also in the toughest division in baseball.

5/30 Sox at O's. 330 start
That's no way to get promoted. He needs to do more weak grounders.

5/30 Sox at O's. 330 start
They sent him down to work on slap hitting, none of this HR nonsense is allowed

TLR is sr. advisor - maybe it's his idea

Sox sign Altavilla
I start to think this is TLR and not Getz.

Thank God for the Rockies
I think you meant next significant Sox DFA deal

Not enough pitchers in baseball doing that either
