  1. Sounds closer to a fantasy than reality. Trade is a bad word. Sox would still get fleeced. Baseball might be running out of naive GMs since the most of them land here. The idea is stupid to being with. Let him learn to pitch the rest of the season. Somehow we have hopes there is another Rick Hahn or Chris Getz that only sees the million dollar arm and not the 10 cent brain. They could easily find dumpster dive pitchers better than him. There are career minor leaguers that could produce the same result. Someone in the organization doesn't wanted to admit failure and still trying to develop him. He and Bummer are the untouchables. That also means no GM would touch them either.
  2. Trade is such a bad word for this organization. While fans of other teams that are not habitual losers can talk as if they're solutions, for the Sox it just takes suck to a new level.
  3. He and Kopech will be mainstays
  4. Losing is a habit and they know how to suck. Sox gonna be like them, already are just a bigger payroll.
  5. Meanwhile Lynn is proving what he is. Lucky the Dodgers don't need to win games and they got someone who will eat innings. The thing is the Dodgers offense doesn't quit.
  6. Those are the teams you have to beat. Those are also the dangerous teams that have nothing to play for and seem to beat the contending teams. Then there's tje Sox who like to play dead.
  7. They invested in scouting and development and have the philosophy of pitching and defense. When they spend the big money players will perform for them. Even Madrigal improved after some development in their farm system. I don't consider not having him as a loss but he got better. He's now Nicky Four Barrels. I've watched the former players like Abreu and Burger. The Marlins are fun to watch and the AL West got really interesting. Anyone but the Sox is my motto and it will carry on possibly for my lifetime.
  8. Since the Sox are becoming more like the Royals wouldn't this be an inter squad game?
  9. They quit last year against Cleveland when it mattered.
  10. Time for a new pitching coach and every coach. If Grifol picks his guys they will suck too because he's from a s%*# organization. The media will try to spin it as a positive over their 2 roses that grew out of a pile of s%*#. BTW since Im in anybody but the White Sox mode I did see the highlights. It was interesting from the Royal's announcers. Many opposing announcers end up unintentionally insulting the Sox.
  11. I'll report you for child abuse.
  12. But they are bad at it. Rebuilding needs to be done in scouting and development. Hopefully spinning that Sox wheel of fortune is gonna pay off. People can mention teams have went through a few bad years and traded players. The reality is there are teams who still play that game and continue to lose. Those are the ones content in drafting, developing, retain coaches who produce the same result. Under those conditions the prospect humping haul is a myth. The Sox window of contention is called never.
  13. Tow teams trading that are bad everything baseball, That will be interesting. Sox somehow still seem to come out losing.
  14. I wonder if the Dodgers could improve him and Cle is good at developing pitching. Plus I wonder what it's like for a player to go to a hated rival.
  15. That would depend on if the owners know what the are doing.
  16. Nothing like having 2 talent evaluators who spent time with the Royals.
  17. Maybe he's not good. Just more false hype we've been fed.
  18. Modern baseball seems to have more than its share of brittle players. I wonder what players in the 70's and 80's.
  19. Maybe he isn't good. He's been in the organization a long time. None of this shut down stuff either. The team shut down, make em work for their pay.
  20. Talent evaluation and development are poor. Might as well keep those bad players because the trades bring the same result or worse. You can believe one day the Sox wheel of fortune is gonna pay.
  21. Anyone but the Sox. Well no Royals or A's either but that is a given. I check up on former players. Abreu HR yesterday. I like to watch Burger. While watching Abreu the Yanks top prospect hit a HR on his 1st big league pitch. I watch the Cubs too. Then the most entertaining is Dodgers vs Braves. No lead is safe in those games. I should watch the Rangers too.
