  1. Yep. He is also ranked 56 on Baseball America, and 73 on Fangraphs. Both higher than where MLB Pipeline have him. He is a good get.
  2. Zavala being included makes this much more bearable.
  3. They'll never sign a pitcher worth a damn to the type of deals being given out this offseason.
  4. He hasn't been very good, but perhaps Bannister sees something? If you could get him as a second piece, it wouldn't be the worst strategy if no one else is matching your initial ask. I'm not over thrilled with him, but he was a top draft prospect not very long ago.
  5. I think the idea is you're buying low on a guy who was the #2 pick. Porter certainly has reliever risk, but also mid-rotation upside if they think they can get him to develop some control. The sweeper he added is supposedly a decent weapon.
  6. Jack Brickhouse? The….. Cubs? It’s the Cubs, isn’t it?!
  7. I’d prefer Arias over Jones. There is easily a packed without Jones they could figure out.
  8. If Soroka returns to form, why would he agree to any sort of extension with the Sox of all teams? Looking at what some truly s%*# pitchers got paid this offseason, he'd be wise to test the market with 29 other teams that will absolutely beat whatever the Sox offer him. I worry we may never see the Sox sign any pitcher of significance again with the deals given out this offseason.
  9. What’s the dimensions? I can work on something if you want.
  10. FWIW, Triple-A stat cast data does exist and is out there publicly if you know where to look. Horn's breaking stuff is absolutely filthy.
  11. Eh this is fine. Both are likely middle relievers when it’s all said and done and Horn provides some depth from the left side. I highly doubt either guy is gonna do much to make anyone lose sleep over this.
  12. Eh, I really think Getz is starting to overplay his hand with this. Dylan Cease has had 1 very good season with a bunch of inconsistent ones. This is not trading Chris Sale 2.0 - there is much more risk to this the longer the Sox hold onto him.

Romy Gonzalez got claimed. Teams take chances all the time on imperfect players if they think they can fix them.

Sheets has 1 option remaining, not 2. So if he survives this ST, this is essentially his last year they have control over him.
  15. I think he’s the “insurance” or plan once Eloy inevitably pays his usual IL visit at some point over the course of the season.

There's a good chance they made him an offer. Would you rather play for the D-Backs or the White Sox?
  17. Totally agree, but that's a lot of 40-man spots needed. Struggling to find logic of cutting any additional position players on it for washed up vets.
  18. Hopefully good enough to traded. It would be nice to get something for him before the inevitable buyout.
  19. I think this definitely becomes more and more apparent each day. Idk if Getz is going to be deemed “good” when it’s all said and done but the guy sticks to his guns and convictions and at least has a vision for what the team should be.
  20. I was referring to his defense. Last year graded terrible. I think it’s more likely his defense bounces back than Yaz’s bat.
  21. Both are bad, but Maldonado hasn’t had his complete lower half breakdown on him. Remember, Yaz admitted to not having feeling in his legs at points while running the bases. Maldonado is more likely to have some sort of resurgence for a half than Yaz IMO. Plus there’s a history of pitchers who truly enjoy throwing to him. Can’t say that about Yaz.
