My mind went to Moncada and AV right away, mainly just due to their low key demeanors. But obviously those guys have been around, so wouldn’t be a new thing, though it sounds like the OKd clubhouse naps might be new. Possible Beni was that vet that mentioned as he’s a new guy and could have found it strange.

Hey look at the Sox not playing shorthanded! Honeywell hasn’t been added to active roster yet so Sox will need to demote a pitcher tomorrow, or whenever Honeywell is added. Instead of just playing shorthanded until he got here like they usually like to do, called up Ramsey.

There are very limited number of players left that are even worth signing in the current signing period. The vast majority of legit players were many signed months ago. Dodgers clearly have their eye on a particular player, and were short on funds. I'd rather see the Sox spend this money than not. Trading it is dumb. But its August and if the Sox had no one identified at this point, may as well turn it into 2 live arms, one of which looks pretty intriguing.

I mean, haven't all the good players from the 2023 international class already signed? If Sox had no one to sign (or no one was interested in signing, or not enough $ to to sign the decent ones that were left) isn't trading it for 2 live arms better than just not spending it?

Not sure who the answer is there, because there is no pitching in AAA really but should be some waiver options. Guess you could run Padilla out there once he's healthy. Call up Perez in September. Not a whole lot more we can do..
