The Sox might have something in these last 2 6th round picks guys. Zangari with another homer, just mashing the ball.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 06:50 PM) No more bats from the NL please. Atleast go for Heyward if you're going to go for an NL bat, Upton is not that good

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 03:45 PM) I won't. I'll eat hats or whatever. And I'll only be bitter about it if it happens when he;s on another team. I love it when Avi gets hits -- it feels like finding money on the ground in the parking lot. I'm really glad Avi just drove those two runs in, but he's still in the midst of a sub-replacement-level season. This post. Word for word. -

Guys, please stop bagging on Avi. He's young and he more than makes up for his atrocious defense with his bat. -
Chris Tannehill/Score trying to make Harrelson look bad...?

Hawk is an idiot. So is pretty much everyone on the Score. Laurence is the truth though, will never not listen to him. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 09:20 PM) Maiker Feliz playing for Az Sox now I like this development. That team is must follow every night now.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 04:17 PM) I like Thompson getting in the OF, while giving the OF's a run at a DH day. I'd love to see him getting regular ABs the rest of the way. Rotate him among the OFers and give them rest or have him DH.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 11:33 AM) Post ASB ERA: Sale: 6.39 Samardzija: 6.96 Rodon: 6.75 Quintana: 3.24 Danks: 3.16 He's been our best pitcher (though looking at those ugly numbers it wasn't that difficult to do). Man, Q is a model of consistency. I think it's time I buy his jersey.

This team is f***ing annoying. -
Should be interesting to see where some of these guys get assigned next year. Kanyy could be rerally fun to watch if Zangari, Zavala, Glines, and Adolfo are all there.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 11, 2015 -> 01:13 AM) If Hahn can dump Shark, LaRoche, Melky, Robertson, Duke and Lexi I'll be a happy camper for starters. Why wold you dump Melky, Robertson, and Shark?
-
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 10, 2015 -> 10:54 PM) Sale, Avi, and Nate Jones were the bright spots today. If Nate Jones can stay healthy, he is a nice setup man for Robertson. Slide Montas into the 7th and suddenly that's a pretty scary bullpen.
-
QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 11, 2015 -> 01:07 AM) Why optimistic? I know our pitching is great but it's been allegedly great for some time now and we continue to be a last place team in the Central. I don't really think Saladino and Sanchez are the answer despite their good gloves and Eaton and Avi are still question marks for the future. You guys like our setup men, I think they blow. Petricka and Putnam are average at best and Duke isn't that reliable. Robertson is great but still blows a lotta saves. Flowers' long streaks of suckage are a constant problem and Lexi is old. So why are you optimistic. Anderson has to be great or we are in a world of hurt. Eaton is currently sporting a .767 OPS. He is no longer a question mark, he has put up 4.9 WAR in little over a season and a half. Please pretend like you somewhat follow the team.
-
It's great Avi had a good night, but he still only has an OPS of .701 AFTER his home runs tonight. Temper the excitement a little, he has still had a miserable season.
-
Sale tipping that change hard. Slowing his arm down big time.

QUOTE (Sox Fan In Husker Land @ Aug 10, 2015 -> 04:26 PM) Other than some kind of miraculous 39-14 finish down the stretch and making the playoffs (not gonna happen) this would be the best thing to happen to the Sox for this season. We are 5 games up on a potential top 3 pick right now. Bring Up Erik Johnson and go to 6 starters to save some wear and tear on Sale and Q for the long run. Bring up Micah Johnson (have him DH if need be) when healthy and let the kids play. See what we might have in the system that can help win next year. If we could get a top 5 pick (take BPA), a comp pick for Samardzija in the top 30 overall pick range, and only lose a 2nd rounder for the 2016 draft because we signed a top young free agent at a weakness for the team, I would be happy as hell. Im on board with all of this. I'd like to see them get Trayce as many AB's as possible as well splitting time at DH, but ultimately I would love for him to be out in the OF much more. -

QUOTE (LDF @ Aug 10, 2015 -> 09:15 AM) you have to know 1 thing, any rankings or idea of how the draft will play out, at this point, not a guarantee. the cape games, other games will give a good idea of prospects being put on the radar until the next season starts. so with that, there is top 8 prospects who are pitchers bot HS and College. then there are 2 nice hitters, Banks and Rutherford. the first power hitter is Dalbec - arz 1b / 3b. projected to be in the 10-15 pick in the 1 st rd. there are some really exciting pitcher in the first 3-4 picks. I'm starting to hear a lot more about Nick Senzel from Tennessee. Solid power out of the 2B position, viewed as a top 5 bat. I'm selfishly hoping that the Sox end up getting a protected pick, receive a comp pick for Samardzija, sign Heyward, and then still have 2 high picks in the first two rounds of this next draft. -

It's interesting that he highlights someone like Glines, but doesnt mention someone like Zavala. In particular, he mentions Glines seems to play plus defense in CF. I wonder if there is going to be an increased focused on defense in the organization? -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 02:58 PM) As soon as Soto started playing more, his numbers would decline. Flowers used to be that guy. People couldn't wait for AJ to leave. You literally cannot support that argument in any way.

QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Aug 6, 2015 -> 12:41 PM) This blows my mind. https://t.co/BMiRsOORGy There is literally zero correlation between the existence of Flowers in the lineup and winning
