  1. I don't think you trade a value like Vaughn has to fill a temporary hole at 2B.
  2. Not sure of that. Sox management needs to decide if Eloy returns to left and Vaughn to IB or Vaughn stays in LF and Eloy becomes a IB/DH
  3. Southside; Maybe the title should be "And That's Another White Sox Winner.
  4. Jimmy: Top 20 is a pretty high ranking but I agree he's really good. I assume you would rank him as the best player on the White Sox?.
  5. Cali: But some Sox posters are thinking Rodon will be limited in the 2nd half of season do to his reduced innings last year. Others think he is injury prone. Ttrade partners may assume the same thing which means his value is very limited in a trade. We may be better off gambling he helps us than giviing him away for limited value.
  6. Maybe I am missing something , but why would AZ want Rodon? I would assume they want prospects back in any trade they make.
  7. Does TLR decide the lineup or the stat geeks?
  8. I gave you an example. His OBP, SLG ,OPS are all lower when he is not catching.
  9. Except in his career, Grandal has struggled ( under .200) with the bat when playing IB and DH and also as a PH.
  10. I agree with you but I think you missed the poster's point. He is saying Vaughn is having the communication issues. I think his lack of experience playing the outfield is more the problem than the number of different CF. Moncada and Anderson are usually the INF when Vaughn is in LF. .
  11. In fairness some of that is poor communication but it is also lack of experience. Even with communication, colliding w walls is a different issue. We have seen collisions where multiple players call for a ball and end up colliding as well.
  12. I still feel that the OF needs solving much more than 2B. We have a struggling Vaughn, an injured Roberts and an injured Eaton. Hahn needs to find a rental now as even the Pirates have been a challenge. Several teams have some very talented outfield prospects on the cusp (Seattle (2) Tampa(2) , Bosotn (1) to name a few. The Sox don't have a lot of ammunition, but if Hahn could find some package he would solve what looks to be a long-term OF need.
  13. Try this version from Glen Campbell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4Ga67EDrKI
  14. Might not be feelings. Many pitchers ( actually athletes) are very superstitious with their pregame and in-game routines. All the weird food guys like Boggs, Verlander and Morneau. Watch how often a pitcher still refuses to step on the lines when going from mound to dugout. How often when a pitcher is throwing a no-hitter does he end up all alone in the dugout. Maybe Gio is just very much influenced by superstitions
  15. The fair weather fans are out before July 1st.
  16. Also Keuchel said he is still very close to some members of the Astros. So I doubt his pitches are getting tipped. unless the Astros have a psychic on the bench
  17. We are leading a division and they are leading for a WC spot. Maybe we will make it there and they won't. Long way to go till the playoffs
  18. I agree but Eaton is a good example of a player who has played RF- 49% and CF-46% and LF- 5%. Could be just a coincidence based on teams he played on but he rarely plays LF. My thought is if we acquire an OF and Eaton gets back quickly, we may need a LF more than a RF especially against RH pitching.
  19. I agree also but I would say a corner OF instead of a RF. Most can play both but Vaughn is still questionable and as the season moves on we need to have a guy who can hit and play either LF/RF in big games against RH pitching.
  20. I think it also depends if any other buyers think Frazier fits their need.
  21. Tampa Bay also came in to this series w the best road record.
  22. Rays have very good pitching and defense. Their offense is average. Like we have some key holes to fill at the deadline, so do the Rays.
  23. 3-4-5 with no hits but everyone else has at least one.
