Does it make me a homer that I think the Dodgers would have to throw something in besides Puig? Puig is making more than Quintana over the next 3 years, then throw in the two beneficial team options in Q's deal, Puig's slumping numbers without the benefit of a silly high BABIP, LAD's need to clear away outfielders... I think the Sox say no.

Abuse points for a game are (Pitch Count - 100)^3, so every additional pitch over 100 is a little bit worse than the one before it. Obviously 100 is an arbitrary number, and the 115th pitch in one game might be less stressful than the 95th in a different game. It does appear in BP's "Archaic" glossary, so I don't know if anybody takes PAP seriously or not.

Really well-written piece.
