Please no Ray "I fancy myself as a power hitter" Durham. He's MLB's equivalent to Willie Mays Hayes.

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 09:42 AM) I like reading this....first it was Dye and now AJ. While getting more lucrative offers from other teams, reportedly the Dodgers and the Cardinals, A.J. Pierzynski decided the White Sox were the best fit. -- South Arlington Daily Herald Definitely JR's type of players

There is a song played late on 94.7 by a group called "Lamb of God" that just f***ing shreds although I don't know the title. Everytime I hear this song, it's a must crank up the volume type tune

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 7, 2005 -> 11:56 AM) It's funny you should call this administration weak when you're one of the ones whining about how heavy handed it is all the time.

QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) To the Sox: Nitpickers! Give AJ and Iguchi what they ask for and move on. An extra 1.6 mill over 2 years won't kill you. Remember JR is losing $$$ in a billboard advertisement that used to be in LF so that they can build their Romper Room .

Cheap is how this Organization works and how it will always work as long as JR and Co. are running things. I guess the White Sox never heard of going out and actually getting the player they want. Everything has to be a negotiation. How many players have the Sox made offers to and not got do to their negotiation tactics?

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) As much as SOX fans lament with Judy/Jon he has been very consistent. So that gives fans & Ozzie in particular the ability to count on Jon to deliver our Consistently mediocre

QUOTE(soxman352000 @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 12:56 AM) Clown: Your hung up on some clown from the sixties man Later George says to Jerry George: I pushed her mother George: What kind of a name for a clown is Eric? Eric: One name's as good as the next. George: Ever heard of Bozo? Eric: No. What is he, some kind of clown? George: You never heard of Bozo the Clown? Eric: No. You're living in the past man!

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) My favorite is the one where Jerry goes to the obnoxious red-headed chick's office to harass her & get revenge for what she did to him during his stand-up comedy routine. Also, the episode with Judge Reinhold That episode where Jerry heckles the woman at her work is also the episode starring Jon Favreau as Eric the Clown. Funny stuff when George is explaining to the NY firefighters why he knocked down kids and an old lady attempting to escape the kitchen fire at his g/f's son's birthday party. NYFF: How do you live with yourself? George: It isn't easy. Judge Reinhold was the "close talker" episode. Good stuff.

One of the good episodes not mentioned yet is the one where Kramer is lent the "Technicolor Dreamcoat" and is walking down the street wearing a fedora w/feather and a walking stick. He goes to borrow George's pink Cadillac where a hooker is turning tricks as he opens the car's door. NYPD pulls up at that moment and exclaims over the loudspeaker..... "Hand's up! Hand's up PIMP!"

I don't think it's very difficult to draw similarities between Terrorist Organizations and Street Gangs. Not difficult at all.

Yeah..... way to be narrow-minded

IMHO..... the rest of the world can go and get f***ed.

Bo Jackson question for the long-time fans
CubKilla replied to BlizzardOfOzzie's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Besides the pinch-hit HR in his first Sox AB (also his first AB since hip surgery and his first AB since his mother's death when he told her he'd play baseball again on her deathbed), I distinctly remember Bo playing RF in a substitution capacity with a runner on 2B (the visitor escapes me) at New Comiskey. The opposition's batter hits a flyball all the way to the RF foul-pole which BJ catches. The runner at 2B tags up and Bo Jackson, replacement hip and all, threw the tagging runner out at 3B ON A FRIGGIN' LINE!!!!! One of the greatest throws I've ever seen in baseball and I haven't seen any better since from as deep and with BJ's hip ailment at the time. -
ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz...... Nobody, liberal or conservative, is ever going to do everything I would do to make this country safer. Deal with it.
-
Sorry that it was your bro but I love when a liberal gets affirmative action programs used against him. I'm sure he told you he's ok with it since it was for diversity's sake.
-
I agree. I've been saying for awhile now that Harris would thrive in the 8 or 9 spot where he'll see better pitches than what he'd see as a speedy lead-off guy.
-
With all this new found speed in the Sox line-up, I think it's time for Roger Bossard to let the IF grass grow a little bit higher. I really think Podsednik will thrive at a hitter's ballpark.
-
Well, it looks as though the mother doing the attacking is black. Blacks can't be charged with hate crimes. I guess it really is impossible for blacks to be racist..... at least in the eyes of the Criminal Justice System. If the mother was white and used racial slurs, she probably would have been charged with a hate crime and, if she wasn't, you could probably count on Jesse and Al picketing until charges were filed.

Weren't you one of the guys a few weeks ago screaming that Bush should accept and appoint Dem's to some positions because he won only 51% of the vote? I guess Bush is just in a lose-lose situation no matter what he does/doesn't do with you.
-
There's about 4 million reasons.
-
That's my line of thinking as well. Rowand, Podsednik, and to a lesser degree, Dye is who AZ will be eyeing in that order.
-
Right Harris better work OT with Tim Raines AND Podsednik in ST on reading pitchers from the stretch and how to time a jump.
-
Harris, I believe, will benefit greatly near the bottom of the order where he won't see the better types of pitches he was seeing batting near the top of the order this year. And if Harris ever learns to steal a base, with Podsednik and Rowand at the top, you have scoring chances throughout the line-up.
