Conforto rejects QO, enters free agency
Our largest contract ever sounds like a big deal. But JR throws nickels around like manhole covers.

Conforto rejects QO, enters free agency
I might have taken the Qo if I were Conforto. Winning a Home Run contest is one thing. Getting hurt and having a lousy year is something else altogether.

Kimbrel option expected to be exercised
Yes there is. Its called asset allocation.

Kimbrel option expected to be exercised

Kimbrel option expected to be exercised
Let me get this straight. We're thinking of spending 16 million for Kimbrall, and thinking about not offering Rodon 18.4 million. If it happens this way, every one in the FO should be fired.

Kimbrel option expected to be exercised
I don't know. He was terrible for over 2 years, and we were certainly swayed by a fluke 32 innings.

Kimbrel option expected to be exercised
So nobody watched him pitch in August or September?

Guardians getting sued for the name
hope the roller derby girls win. They should've gone with the Spiders in the first place.

Offseason Thread
Already have players like NC. Get a guy who plays defense and gets on base a lot. Its better to have players with different skill sets.

Minnie Minoso, Buck O'Neil and Four Others Elected to the Baseball HOF; Dick Allen Screwed by One Vote
Finally! Minoso is probably the best eligible player not in the hall. Hopefully he'll get in soon.

I'd rather sign Yan Gomes than anyone else. We're thin at catcher. Between Vaughn, Eloy, Burger, Sheets and Engel We can get by on the corners. Of course if Robert gets hurt again, it could get ugly real quick.

Nitengale: La Russa "definitely" returning to the Sox
Bad news travels fast.

Sox to pick up $16M Kimbrel option, per Nightengale. Then try to trade him.
Is Bob Nightingale a heavy drinker?

One guy who kind of escaped being blasted was Kopech. He really didn't pitch well for the last 3 months. He is the key to next years team.

We spent 5 million and Madrigal and Heuer for a lousy reliever. Spending 21 million and Madrigal and Heuer for the same lousy reliever is in my opinion worse.

Good money after bad. Typical White Sox move.

We All Know What the Problem Is: Jerry Reinsdorf
I dunno. He's in his 80's which is pretty old, even for team owners. Does he still hold sway over the other owners like he did 10-15 years ago. Of course, there are plenty of Darth Vaders in that group even with out JR.

We All Know What the Problem Is: Jerry Reinsdorf
I'll admit JR's hiring of TLR really bothered me even more than all the other stuff in the past. It took a lot of fun out of the season for me, and because of that I watched a lot less. On the plus side, if we get swept part of me won't be nearly as sad as usual be- cause TLR will look even stupider. Imagine being out managed by Dusty Baker.

Madrigal
When the trade came down, I said on one of the threads, I wasn't sure if I would have traded Codi Heuer straight up for him. Let alone Madrigal too. Really looks horrible now.

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
Cheer up. I usually think I'm the biggest wet blanket on this page. If you wanna thow down though, I'll give it a try.

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
Does TLR get another chance if we get swept, and thoroughly out managed? It would almost make it tolerable if he reretired.

9/29 Reds @ Sox 7:10PM CT
My feeling is MW will never pitch for the Sox again. Walking that guy on a 3-2 pitch with a pitch that missed by 2 feet, and then plunking the next guy sealed his fate. 5-6 years in the Bigs, and never so much as just a so-so season. We could have used his spot with an organization guy like Kyle Kubat, and not have done worse than this joker.

Luis Robert, closing in on one full season statistically
probably the odds on favorite for next years MVP award.

Sox vs Guardians 9/25 game thread 6:10 first pitch
Sox will go as Lance Lynn goes in the playoffs. He hasn't looked good for a while now. His control has been lousy since he whipped his belt at the umps.
