I'd have to agree.  maybe it's just for a couple seasons when the team should have real talent on it, then they'll evaluate and see how well he performs with a roster full of major league quality players.

Technically, all this really means is that Ricky is guaranteed more money should he be fired at at any point in 2019 or 2020. Which I think is a good thing for him. With the White Sox though, you never know if it's an iron-clad sign of unflinching confidence.

I doubt there was anyone beating down the door to get him if he didn't have an extension.  Maybe they think it gives them an advantage in FA to let a player know there is a consistency in management

I can't wait for Anderson and Moncada to be benched for no reason while guys who actually aren't hustling get rewarded. I would be fine with his system if he were consistent, but he tends to bench his better players for crimes that are far less egregious than what the rest of the team does. 

The money we saved from not hiring a decent manager should afford us more flexibility in signing Harper and Machado.

Hopefully they locked up Steverson for a few more years as well. The way teams are going through hitting coaches, you know letting him get close to being a free agent would be a costly mistake. Trick’s boys don’t hit.

JR will announce soon that he has extended the contract of Hahn.

I am really disappointed. I have seen a lack of strategy leadership and personality that should disqualify him. I do not feel he is an MLB manager. He will not guide us to or through the playoffs. 

Yeah this really sucks and makes me question what this front office is thinking.  Like when did this happen, because it’s not like we’ve seen great results from our young talent since Ricky became manager.
