We are genuinely at risk of this clown fucking up a beautiful thing, and that makes Willie really sad.

  • Should he really be swinging on 3-2?  What about sportsmanship?

Tony LaRussa just backed the bus over his own player publicly, and got mocked for it by his own players publicly. Are his players irrational haters too?

Could also be a way to bump the lefty tomorrow??

Mlb.com has Shoemaker for tomorrow (not a lefty).

ah idk why I thought they we're getting two lefites

DH Collins tonight to eliminate the potential for Shenanigans.

They'd be more than welcome to throw Happ out there again for some more BP

Bench our top hitter and the MLB batting leader because you think the Twins may throw at him?

No way. Take the free (I don't think he is going to get thrown at) base and move on.

First at bat....pinch hitting for Yermin Mercedes....Jake Lamb.

How foolish of you to not expect our boy Jake Lamb to be batting second! Mercy.

Why not play Collins at 1B and Vaughn in LF... Barf to Lamb

With Pineda pitching I'm expecting:

Anderson 6

Eaton 9

Moncada 5

Mercedes DH

Lamb 7

Vaughn 3

Grandal 2

Hamilton 8

Madrigal 4

Puttin' on the foil coach!

Nick rips the ball yesterday and gets moved out of the 2 hole....

Not a fan, but lets get after it!!!

The Sox can't afford any more injuries. There are plenty of hitters that have broken hands on a HBP. They can be sneaky about it and throw inside until one hits him without being obvious.

Lamb in the 2 hole is worse punishment than Yermin sitting ?

Lots of times when teams bring up random guys from the minors they do great in their first start because there is no book on them.  Seen it happen to and with the sox plenty of times over the years.  Hopefully not tonight.

Ehhh, its whatever.  Pick your posion with Lamb or Hamilton - one was going to play.  Batting his 2nd is super dumb tho.

I am glad to see Yermin is playing.

All that hullabaloo over absolutely nothing, as predicted.

At least we can complain about Lamb though

I'd rather Cease bat #2 than Lamb tbh

Figured Lamb would be out there in LF. Would also have been fine with Vaughn in LF, Grandal at 1B (then he can C the day game tomorrow) and Collins behind the plate.

I'd probably line them up:

1. Anderson

2. Eaton

3. Moncada

4. Mercedes

5. Vaughn

6. Grandal

7. Lamb

8. Garcia

9. Madrigal

Unacceptable oversight on my part, sorry.  That joke didn't age well....f*&%ing LaRussa.

At least it was Leury over Hamilton and not Leury over Madrigal.

don't think you're gonna see very many games where Collins, Mercedes, and Grandal are all in the same lineup

Why not?  Can just slide TA to catcher if need be.

"Good job in the 2 hole, Nicky. Now enjoy going back down to the bottom of the order. I have a real experienced veteran there tonight, in Lamb!"
