  • Does he travel with Cleveland to Chicago...or do the Sox have to go pick him up.  I guess I am asking if the Sox got free delivery in the deal??

Ahhhhh man..........Not a fan of this guy or this move.  Only solace I take is he has hit 18 homers this year, we need more pop, but over his career he is not a homerun hitter.  This dude has to bat 9th when everybody is back in the line-up.

You also think Yoan sucks. You're not very good at evaluating infielders.

It doesn't sound like the big fishes are costing premier prospects at the moment.   It probably comes down to how much salary to take on, and that's usually game over for us.

The Sox don't even have interesting prospects. Its barren down on the farm.

So Im very curious about who they gave up

I remember reading him as a possibilty for the Sox but ignored that because I did not think Cleveland would be looking to help us out...I guess the Traffic Guardians really are packing it in this year??

I think the Escobar track record of being this is a whole lot better.

What did the Sox give up?

His UZR/150 is pretty good at 2nd base this year. DRS not so much. Last year defensively was much better.

ew... Isn't this way more than the DBacks got for Escobar? wtf.

I am OK with it. Upgrade and I believe good D. He should cost us almost nothing.

I'm guessing Cleveland liked one of our young arms.

Edit: Yep Pilkington

This is a solid move.

I better see some people on this board treat it like the next coming.

He'll win a Cy in Cleveland.

I don’t hate this at all

I'm not a fan at all really. He's barely an upgrade over what we're throwing out there now

Damn, at least spell the man's name correctly.

Chicago White Sox has been trading this guy for months. Finally it is done.

Watch Cleveland turn him into a useful starter.

Seems like an overpay. Wasn't Conor doing well?

Do you guys just not look at stats before saying this?

This seems like a bigger haul than what got Escobar, but whatever I guess.

They’re basically the same WAR wide over their career

Here come the overpayment cry babies.

If Pilkington is the deal, we still need to free up a 40 man spot.  Really 2 with Robert back soon.

His BABIP is way down so the Sox might be hoping his 2nd half is better. His ISO is up. Very solid fielder and I think that matters too.

No doubt he'll be in their rotation by september or early next year throwing 96
