OF Help at last!! White Sox acquire Haseley from Phils

If you keep Kimbrel you have to use him.  I'd rather have those critical innings go to Bummer, Kelly, Graveman, Crochet

It's funny.  People see the obvious loss of production and development when you put Crochet into a limited role and limit his innings and growth, but want to do the exact same thing to a guy with just

I'd rather keep Kimbrel than dump him for nothing at this point.  Seems pretty obvious - albeit incredibly frustrating - Sox have no further plans to spend $.  So why are we trading Kimbrel exactly?

To spend $.  I would guess either on Conforto or another Starting Pitcher.

Also, this guy could possibly be dealt for a starter.

I would like this type of move more if we weren't trying to win a World Series. Hopefully everything clicks for him but if he were to play in the MLB with the Sox, who gets booted from the roster with everyone healthy?

It has to be a low level minor league return if the return wasn't a headline in the story.  My guess, no Kimbrel, no Burger. Phillies might just need the roster slot.

Seems kind of weird with Odubel starting the year on the IL. Thought this guy would definitely break camp as the CF for them.

McKinley Moore. Not Kimbrel

Hoping this is a domino effect and we see more moves now.

Certainly better than the status quo.

I assume the price on Meadows was too high since Portillos said they were checking in on him again.

I'm glad they did something at least.

Strange move for Phillies, as they have no outfield depth.

McKinley Moore we hardly knew ye

I've never even heard of Moore and I pay attention to prospects, so guy must be an interesting reliever if I had to guess.

Portillos is full of beef.

Serious?

With him leaving the organization for a time for personal reasons, he may have just needed to move on.

Madrigal has more power than haseley. I hope he ends up being one of these transformative players and my worst takes but anyway haseley sucks, I was glad we didn't get him in 17 or whatever, and Brian Goodwin is better thanks for my ted talk.

You have wonder if this came from earlier kimbrel trade discussions that fell through but the Sox liked this guy as part of that deal and found another way to get him.

He already left the team so seems he was on the outs.

one of the reasons they have no OF depth is because Haseley was part of their depth and he sucks.

Anyway look forward to Phillies signing conforto in an hour.

Terrible.  We had 4+ years to give AAAA players like this their chance.  We did our time and deserve better.

This was my exact thought as well.

Also, one of my friends just sent me a screenshot of an article about Haseley saying that at times, it looks like he forgets how to play baseball.

Hopefully this is one of those change of scenery deals where he turns his career around.

Beware of the Virginia curse.

I like the move.  Can't hurt, who knows.  Kid had some talent and a decent swing.
