May 22, 20223 yr Johnny Cueto pitching his heart out . Adam Engel & AJ Pollock with a great day . Liam does his thing . Sox come back and beat the Yankees . life is good.
May 22, 20223 yr Had to have that one. Let's hope this weekend turns out to be the spark that gets this team up and out of their stupor. Going to need Kopech to pitch deep with the bullpen situation. Hendriks surely will want to get out there again, though. Kelly not exactly a favorite yet but he's starting to redeem himself, too.

May 22, 20223 yr The Sox have looked like a different team the last three days. Even in the 7-5 loss, they played well. Nice job by Hendricks. So nice to see a three-up, three-down inning by him. If Pollack can give you any kind of offense that's a plus.

A switch flipped when they went down big to the royals on Thursday. Yankees are toughest team in the league and theyve fought them to a draw so far. Win tonight and ill be mighty impressed.

May 22, 20223 yr Author Also for the record, MLB win rules suck. No way should Graveman get the win there. He blew the lead. It should revert to Cueto.

May 22, 20223 yr With Cueto dealing across two games, we seem to be closer to DFAing Keuchel. Once Lynn returns, we’ll have 7 starters with no options. Unless they want to bullpen both Velasquez AND Keuchel it seems like they will have to DFA one of the starters.

Let’s count it out to 13: Cease, Giolito, Lynn, Kopech, Cueto (5) Hendriks, Graveman, Kelly, Bummer, Banks, Lopez, Ruiz, Velasquez, Foster, Sousa, Keuchel (11) Sousa and Foster at least have options, but Foster working his way to almost an essential piece in bullpen these days. Sousa would be dropped (down to 15). I don’t see how you justify Dallas in the bullpen with this lineup. Velasquez and Lopez become long relievers. Banks and Bummer your lefties. It may be Keuchel and Ruiz (or Foster). Not sure. But certainly Dallas is pitching on a hot seat these days, especially with Cueto pitching lights out so far.
