Will the Sox get a base runner in 8th or 9th?

Robert will get on, followed by an Abreu DP

No doubt using Banks or VV would have been criticized.

Hopefully TLR points fingers at Hahn postgame.

It’s not like he can blame Foster’s family.

Based on how it played out…everyone will ask why no Ruiz…at least has faced similar situations previously and has the best stuff remaining in the pen.

Do you think they're going to win?

Man, if you check your post history, like the last three pages every single post is bitching about something, why bother watching this team if thats all you get out of it

Hasn’t he struggled in the first inning of his starts?

Yep and after he tends to settle into the game

Still, Martin having one successful long relief appearance against the non Jays doesn't qualify him for that situation.

I don't even understand why this is a conversation. Martin pitched well! He did his job and got really unlucky on three ridiculous hits.

He does a very bad job of anticipating where a ball is going to go

He if just kept the ball in front of him it's easy but he drifted back and had to try to catch it behind him reaching back.

So you would take a rookie starting pitcher who doesn’t normally pitch in relief appearances and throw him right in a close ballgame versus starting the inning with an actual relief pitcher like Ruiz? Tony trying to be too cute with these decisions. Yes the roster might be jacked up but some of these are TLR guys

Or bringing in a second straight minor league starter each to do only 1 inning for some reason?

Giolito pitching the 9th?

Wouldn’t surprise me.

There’s just no one that can be counted on right now.  As we keep saying, the amount of AAA or AAAA garbage on this team is pathetic.

It's really hard to believe how awful the bottom third of the roster is.  How did he let that happen?

The lesson Rick Hahn will take from this is he has to devote even more resources to the bullpen

Can't wait to see which prized prospect he dangles out there for a relief pitcher who gives mediocre results at best.

It's exactly what happened the first time Rick Hahn tried to assemble a contending roster. Why would you expect this time to be different?

Look i understand that Ruiz has had control issues and blown chunks BUT Martin is a starter...........you have to let Ruiz start the 8th inning.

You have to considering the circumstances

Yea we’re gonna lose another winnable game, but more importantly, our big money bullpen is gonna get a rest day!

Is Let's Go White Sox the Let's Go Brandon for LaRussa??

Got a baserunner.  Now do something with it.

He walked the leadoff fucking batter

Ruiz is bad though

Well yeah but I would still choose him over Martin in the 8th inning of a one run game

So graveman and Kelly can neither pitch b2b games and they're relievers who we gave multi-year deals too lol

Sounds like a perfect reliever for the 8th inning

Great AB there Pollock.

Maybe he should ask if Cease can come back out.
