Sox really need this one. Big difference between 1.5 and 3.5 GB. 

Cleveland has a very tough next 12 games. 2 at San Diego then 4 at Seattle followed by 3 at home against Baltimore and 3 at home against Seattle. All 3 of those teams are fighting for a playoff spot.

Every doubleheader. 

News flash to the Sox hitters for today's game: We realize you struggle to score runs, evidenced by the fact you are 21st in runs scored (4.21) and 24th in runners LOB at 6.99. Hopefully you will take advantage today of Civale's 5.63 ERA and not make him look like Cy Young, as you guys have done often this year playing horrible pitchers.

It’ll help cuz LaRussa won’t have time to sober up and then fall asleep, he will just keep the bender going.  Sox win 3-1

So it looks like rain around game time - but then possible a window in the early afternoon.

 

Cleveland going to try to make sure the game starts earlier so it rains and they can avoid cease with a delay.

Lineup is interesting. Not sure i agree with Romy in a must win game situation, and i guess Sheets in since he has been hot. That bottom half of lineup could really stink today

I’m enjoying not seeing Grandal (insert obligatory “but I’m real sad he got injured” statement), Garcia (samsies), or Harrison in the line up.

It happened in 1906, I believe.
