Blue sky and the sun is out. They haven't done a thing to the field in over an hour. They didn't want to face Cease on a short turn around from last night.

Only reason I’m ok with a ppd is because of how banged up all the main hitters are

Yeah but they still had to be at the ballpark for 5 or 6 hours. An unplayable field should not happen in MLB. Cleveland needs to be forced to spend millions fixing their drainage.

Pretty fucking absurd that a game gets canceled with the sun shining and blue skies. Who makes this call?

Off days are overrated for baseball

All I got out of this:

1.) Cleveland are a bunch of pansy bitches
2.) I’ll be eating hotdogs for lunch

Bar S or Nathan's?

Do you have Grey Poupon?

The one benefit is the re scheduled game probably won't be on Peacock. I wasn't paying

Agree on the field for sure. Who gives a fuck about being at the field for a few hours, that means nothing.

It's a lot different from not going in. Moncadas probably pissed because he probably had to call it a night sooner than usual last night.

So that’s why he’s so much better in day games

Looks like Francona feels he can pull a fast one on the clueless TLR.

Being able to get a head start and relax at your destination is a lot more preferable than sitting around idly in uncertainty for a few hours to delay your travels.

speaking as someone who travels a lot for a living….

Mentally they had to be checked in because any other place, they play.

Exactly.….well, you would assume on a normal team, at least.

And this is critical since most White Sox fly balls get caught there.

I thought they were only allowed to hit ground balls?

Decision to play or not is not with home team if it's the last time visitor is in town that season.  It's MLB's call -- not managers or Guardians.

I get the impression that posters are thinking CLE is afraid to face Cease.   No team is afraid to face the Sox no matter who is on the mound.

Ok, who called a split this weekend?

Basically, the Guardians want to call it now, and the Sox are pissed they have to come back 9/15.

Oh well Colas will be up then and Guardians will be sorry ! Colas will destroy the Guards.

Did any of the beat writers talk to Tony about what the discussions were around whether or not to play this game, or were they all too busy eating hot dogs?

Did anyone sign up with Peacock only to not be able to watch the game?

I wouldn't pay and I am glad it was postponed.

Now Cueto will have to go an extra inning on Friday to qualify for fourth in the AL ERA

How big of a pussy do you have to be to not want to face the White Sox.

Did we win??
