September 22, 20223 yr Its been said before, but it is absolutely ridiculous that the same regime that caused the team to go into a rebuild was allowed to rebuild said team. You just really don't see that in professional sports.

September 22, 20223 yr Obviously nothing Rick can say will help with what happened this season but every time he talks he has a way of making things worse so I'll be intrigued.
September 22, 20223 yr Maybe someone should ask if he has any concern with Katz going forward as Giolito AND Flaherty (teammates with Fried at Harvard Westlake) have both basically hit brick walls in their respective careers???

September 22, 20223 yr They had a chance to change the game, change the fan demographic of Chicago and grab a whole generation of young fans nationally. They could have been the face of baseball. And they whiffed on that chance over saving 10s of millions.

September 23, 20223 yr Actually congrats are in order for Jerry (P.T.Barnum 2.0) Reinsdorf for will likely be an inconsequential second place finish. Keeping us thirsty, Jerry ? You bet. For new ownership !!
September 23, 20223 yr I don't really see this team doing anything significant with second base and RF other than Colas and Andrus. Not unless they dump some payroll. And those are tough asks. Hahn will stay, and sell the status quo. Maaaaybe fresh blood in the dugout.

September 23, 20223 yr I never want to hear Rick Hahns shitty fucking voice making up excuses ever again. Guy is a total clown and has no business being anywhere near the front office of any team, let alone this one.
September 23, 20223 yr Hopefully they lose every single game for the rest of the season because I don't think anything less would get Hahn fired, and maybe not even then. The Sox need to bring in an outsider to the role, maybe hire some consultants from the Cubs organization because they seem to actually know what the f*** they're doing. I'm afraid in another 2 years they will again be the clearly superior team in Chicago. The rebuild is offically a bust but that doesn't mean its time for another, there are still ways to salvage this but Hahn cannot be involved in it.

I’ll give him that.

Velasquez and Kelly may be some place else if he wasn't hired, and who knows who else. If they needed a fossil, Buck was the hire. He has a 3 or 4 year shelf life, but his teams play to or above their talent level for at least a couple of seasons. And his player evaluation is much better than Tony's. Forget his managerial skills, his evaluation skills are being used like his stint in AZ never happened. And that was many brain cells ago. Shame on the players, but the big shame was hiring Tony. He brought down the entire organization. Yes he did, but the person to blame is not TLR, it's the jackass that bought this team years ago that's the real source of all our problems.
