They tried to make him the face of baseball to attract more African Americans to the game.  So they are reluctant to admit they screwed up and are doubling down waiting for him to improve, but he is regressing.  IMO.

We brought our manager from the Royals.  What do you expect?

Tim Anderson is a darn good ball player going through a real bad stretch. I’m not sure just what you are implying in your post

There’s just no urgency.  They will wait until next week to call up Colas despite how awful Sheets is playing.

It’s bc they like him. He’s a really great guy.

not a good reason, but that’s why sheets is still around. He’s ingratiated himself very well.

He better figure it out before he’s out of baseball in a few years

Let's remember that Tim Anderson is Hahn's biggest domestic success, one of only three over a decade.

2+ bWAR White Sox seasons - Domestic Players drafted by:

Rick Hahn (2013-Jerry's Death + Probate)

  • (5) SS Tim Anderson 2013 R1: 2016 2.4; 2018 3.7; 2019 4.2; 2020 2.3; 2021 4.7.
  • (2) SP Carlos Rodon 2014 R1: 2018 2.0; 2021 5.1.
  • (1) RP Aaron Bummer 2014 R19: 2019 2.8.
