Good luck TA!

Easily my favorite White Sox post the World Series team.

I hear you. I wish the Sox brought him back one year 7 mill. I mean cmon, our 2B, SS combo will be the weakest hitting in all of baseball. True, TA was no good last year, but at least I've heard of him. I hope he does well in Miami.

No matter how well TA does in Miami, and I hope he does well, it was the right decision to part company with him. The relationship between TA and the White Sox was clearly not working anymore and he had gone stale. If he had stayed then a marginally better season was probably all we would have got, hopefully a fresh environment will spark an upturn in his form.

From a White Sox point of view it was probably best to cut ties and rebuild a new clubhouse atmosphere without his presence even if he wasn't the cause of all the bad clubhouse rumours recently. I know the 2b SS options this season are hardly inspiring but this was going to be a write off season no matter what.

I am so tired hearing about the clubhouse. Maybe he was a problem, maybe he wasnt.

Regardless this team is going to lose 100 games. Whether it loses it with a good clubhouse or a bad one quite frankly I don't care and neither should anyone else.

What this team goal should be is not trading or signing glue clubhouse guys on shortterm deals who can't play but finding talent who are bounceback candidates. Those guys are often going to have stigmas attached to them whether it's something they did off the field, or not being a great clubhouse guy, or coming off a terrible year or even some combination on the three.

People are acting like we can sit back and be choosy at who we offer shortterm contracts. We are like a homeless dude thumbing our nose at someone offering McDonalds demanding to go to In'N'Out instead. We are going to lose 100+ games and are openly in a rebuild we are not that attractive of a destination either. There is a decent chance if we offered 1/5M he goes to Miami anyways. The issue for me is all offseason I didn't see us targeting the guys we should.

I agree. I was going to write no boos but there's a few in every crowd. I should have looked at the schedule since it won't happen this year.

Have you seen the list of currently available free agents? The White Sox can absolutely be picky about which bounce back or tradeable candidates they offer money to.

With the exception of Freddy Garcia, nearly all of the vets added in 2004-2005 were unwanted or had previous bad reps (AJ Everett Jenks), coming off injuries or slumps (Dye Pods) or just plain unwanted (El Duque due to salary and Contreras salary and Boston troubles) and Politte/Vizcaino were nothing more than journeymen on last legs.  Of course Iguchi was totally unknown and the KW video-scouted wild card.  Cotts discovered a new life as a reliever after failing as a starter.

If you read my original post I clearly said he may or may not have been a problem, but what is clear is that TA went stale at the White Sox for whatever reason and was going through the motions, like some of the other so called big names.

Its sad that my memory of TA is now of him being one of the worst players in baseball and getting knocked out on the field after trying to be a tough guy.

I am just going to point out that this same group of players (for the most part) had no problem getting along and winning when Ricky was the manager.

This is my favorite stupid video from Ricky's time, because the vibes were good.

This might be the curse of firing a playoff manager. This team is gonna lose a lot.

Can we all just agree that we really don't know why Tim tanked last year?

Can we agree that having two families splashed all across the media is stressful for most people and possibly a contributing factor?

I agree that it could. I don't agree that it must have been a factor.

Doesn’t mean you should only pull the ball in the air three more times all year than I did

Tim needed to get away from the Sox, and the Sox needed to get away from him.

We usually blame that on the poor coaching throughout our system.

Obviously it's impossible to pin this on one thing or he could have fixed in immediately. But most anyone, in any job, will struggle to perform their best when their life goes to crap.

Good for Tim. I wish him nothing but the best

Off. Field issues could actually get worse for TA in Miami, with all the action in South Beach, and hot women  everywhere.

There will not be many boos in Miami, because there are not any people attending Marlins games.

Tim will have a better year that DeJong, in my opinion.  I would have rather seen the Sox go with Sosa, Ramos, and Popeye instead of the guys we signed.  Then, bring up Montgomery whenever.  I could pull for those guys. Now, for the first time in my life, I am an indifferent White Sox fan.  But I'll still watch.

In n Out sucks just as much as McDonalds!  At least McD’s fries are solid.

But they can still do that. DeJong is a nothing signing. You can drop him whenever one of those guys is ready to go.
