It’s called Google, haha.  Trust me, I don’t know much about LOTR other than the movies.  I actually only finished watching the Prime show just cuz it was so hilariously bad.  I was a much bigger fan of Game of Thrones and the new prequel.

Im really looking forward to the Knight of the 7 Kingdoms show.  I always liked the hedge knight stories

Yeah. And the fact he doesn’t really play SS is odd. They probably should have added someone like Iglesias who can.

Or Ha-Seong Kim, since we'll be down to a $40ish million payroll after subtracting Robert, Jr., and Benintendi.

Ofc, the White Sox believe that Montgomery's the long-term solution at SS.   Time will tell.

For today, the biggest "missed opportunity" is going to be not signing Austin Hays (based on similar spring training at-bats that have made Ryan Sweeney and Wilson Betemit look like All-Stars in previous springs).

I am not thrilled with the Vargas news. Dude is a DH. Rojas is only a 2-3 WAR player if you maximize his glove at 3b. Sox do everything possible to make sure their defense sucks every year.

I do think you gotta let Vargas play there in a lost season but they shouldn't haven't had Rojas. It was a weird move since he is primarily a good defensive 3B, a spot where we have a few options on the depth chart. Same for 2B.

Would rather have just added a guy who can primarily backup SS and the other IF spots rather than us trying to figure out who will be the backup and saying "well, I guess they're going to play Rojas there even though he hasn't played the spot since 2021 (below average mind you)."

He was a top 40 prospect, no options, he has to play somewhere. I'd say he has about 4 months to show he can hit.

Nothing in his profile suggests he'll ever hit but as you noted they might as well trot him out there and see if he can at least play a cromulent 3B, as that's the only way his bat will ever play as a regular. It was a really poor scouting decision that led to acquiring him so I hope if he's hitting 180/230/300 in late June they just cut bait and rotate in someone else.
