To be fair, I thought posting a Times of India article that simply references another article that’s already been discussed here would have been a dead giveaway this was a joke.

Sure, I got it.  I don’t think people realize how many articles are AI generated, even articles with authors listed from more legitimate sources!  I have Copilot Studio on my work laptop and use it all the time.

I still love the idea of getting the comp pick from the Pirates in a Robert trade.

Fully agree.  A comp pick and a prospect would make sense.  A guy at the back end of their top 10 but with upside / projection would be fantastic.  James mentioned Levi Sterling but Wyatt Sanford would also be a fantastic option.  Would have to throw in some cash to get that type of return though, but makes all the sense in the world.

It is, but I do actually believe we could be surprise suitors for Murakami.

"Could be"...the key words there.

Should be...definitely.

You can't be so risk averse after Benintendi and Robert that you never offer a long term contract again...because it might go wrong.

It might also work out spectacularly.

I don't think this is a "risk averse" thing, more than a broke thing.

"That leaves precious few high-end relievers available for teams like the Yankees, Cubs, and Marlins to pursue. Pete Fairbanks and Seranthony Dominguez are among the best options remaining on the market at this point, with hurlers like Shawn Armstrong and Pierce Johnson sitting a tier below those two."

I think they'd love to trade Robert. Had talks with O'Hearn, Conforto, Tauchman, Fairbanks people. I have no idea how much they can spend.

It’s interesting how the Sox seem to be on Boras’s list of teams to work with when it comes to his clients that are trying to have a career turnaround (Conforto).  Just like Andrew Jones years ago.
