Perhaps it happens in the new CBA. Right now competitive balance picks are the only ones that can be moved. And they can only be traded once for some reason.

I've heard the Rays would take Lackey 1 and that he was their clear best player in the draft. Who knows how true that is though. We'll find out soon enough.

If the scouts are saying this guy will be an all star in 6 years and the higher ups are saying we want a guy in two years, I'm ok with that discussion.

So if the Sox take Roch and because of college he is just about ready for the Majors and is with the big club by 2028, where does he play with Colson at SS?

Maybe 3B? Or Colson moves? Would also depending Mune is extended as well because then you have Vargas at 1B if not.
