March 11Mar 11 Author I wonder if the Sox are waiting for Teel to get back to AZ and get looked at by our own docs before announcing anything

March 11Mar 11 My gf is from Fiji and they said I could play. If you pitch for the Dogies that's like an extra moon every season. I would ask for more pesos.
March 11Mar 11 Probably a 2-3 week setback based on how it looked and his reaction. Not the worst thing in the world now we can get Edgar more ABs early.

Can you say for sure it wouldn't have happened in Sox camp? No. But also, intensity does matter for those things. I don't think Teel is able to go less than 100% effort tbh

March 11Mar 11 Annoying but could be worse. Still 2 weeks until Opening Day so hopefully he only misses 15-20 regular season games.

March 11Mar 11 Could've been worse. And luckily for the White Sox catcher is the one strength you have to help offset it. Quero is our guy for the first month of the season back there at least.
March 11Mar 11 He can DH first to expedite return and take time to ensure he is healed before he catches, right
March 11Mar 11 This is why Getz was wise to keep Lee and add any good catcher talent he saw available (Romo).

You've got guys who weren't born in a particular country playing for it because their grandmother on their step-mothers side had a distant cousin who lived in said country for a year or two. (I know that doesn't make sense but just trying to make a point). If you are going to have this exhibition series at least make the rule to play for a nation you have to be born there and be a citizen of it. Stop stretching things to try to field a roster. If you don't have enough legit players from your country you don't play, aren't invited. But how is it “totally meaningless?” It’s not the MLB, it’s a different baseball entity. Just because you’ve decided YOU only care about the MLB season doesn’t mean the rest of the baseball world needs to. The overwhelming majority of all professional players don’t ever get to the World Series, meaning that this is likely the most significant championship they’ll ever get to play for. There are thousands of fans around the world, some from countries whose cultures hold baseball in higher esteem than the United States does, who care much more about this tournament than anything that happens in the MLB. I couldn’t possibly care less about the NFL, and every year I feel the media shift away from baseball pennant races toward NFL camp coverage, and I hate it. That doesn’t make that coverage “totally meaningless.” It’s just not for me. Edited March 11Mar 11 by Eminor3rd
