Carrying multiple bench Outfielders and your only bench infielder being Acuna is leading to this problem. Look, you’ve already won the trade. You didn’t pay Robert his buyout, he’s already hurt and going to contribute nothing on his new team. You don’t need to save face. Cut Acuna.

Teel going 5 for 6 yesterday gets me pumped. Add in Mune doing on the field exercises and we are about 2 weeks from having a whole team again. Just tread water and win/split series until they get them

They weren’t late inning defensive changes. They were offensive changes that are now on defense. You can debate whether the pinch hitting was actually beneficial, but they were playing for runs there

He's also thought of highly at 3rd by the metrics. He's like top 5 in runs saved there despite the number of games played there.

I'd argue Colson is actually the best 3B on the team (he's also the best SS on the team).

Vargas is the best 1B on the team with Mune out, and the only one you want starting vs. LHP.

Lifeless today.

Low energy and terrible RISP stats. 🥵

That's Will Venable for you.

Shades of Grifol. Can we ever get a good manager?

Why the f*** do you hit Quero for Grichuk (sp) against a lefty? JFC.

Venable isn't the answer, I've seen enough boneheaded mistakes to come to that conclusion, like he does some of the dumbest s%*# I stg.

He's also still dealing with a rebuilding roster with massive holes in the bullpen. It is what it is. Most people thought this team would lose 90+ games again.

Not a Will fan, he makes same mistakes over and over

Yeah I mean obviously the sample size is small but he has the qualities one might expect a good 3B to have.

Yes, I have no doubt he's the best 3B although that doesn't mean he should always be there since, as you say, he's also the best SS.

Man I'm waiting for my flight home from Raleigh And I watch this bomb sitting at the airport...🤮

Nice cut from Romo but no joy.

There was some little buzz about this guy hitting the waiver wire this spring. I'm beginning to understand how he fell to the Yankees.

So what was it, zero-for-eleven with runners in scoring position between yesterday and today? I know I sure couldn't do any better, but doggone, that's gotta be so frustrating for the guys.

the sox are floundering but at least the guardians are too

Could have taken the game yesterday. Could have taken the game today… the pains of a young team with some key injuries and absent pitching depth are showing.

Hopefully we can take one tomorrow and get back home for Teel day to begin a nice 7 game run on lossless ball to get some momentum back.

Everything will be alright, tonight.

Well, hope you pick one up tomorrow. These have been close games, offense just hasn't been all the way there. Pitching matchups have been extremely unfavorable to the Sox so far even though our side of the pitching has mostly held up its side of the bargain. Skubal and Melton are really good pitchers and we haven't seen the bad parts of their bullpen (other than Kenley, you might argue). Tomorrow's matchup is better for the Sox even if we're all wondering whether Davis is going to get it back together.

Two of those aren’t bad and weird (but not really) you left out some key series wins.

There has got to be something wrong with Venerable. This is too weird.

I don’t know what is wrong, but he looks like a deer out in the headlights, and very low energy on the bench.

The Sox are not as bad as they look now, nor are they as good as they looked the past month or whatever. They’re a .500 team at best IMO.

It’s fine. They’re still young, fun and clearly on the rise.

He's only there 10-15% of the time with a healthy roster, mostly on Mune DH days, maybe takes a little stress off the back too.

But Mune is out and they've faced a run of LH starters, so it is what it is. Hopefully we get more specifics on Mune's timeline on Monday.

Well that sucked.

It just feels like they have quite a few bullpen games.

Get em tomorrow and avoid a sweep.

We have too many AAA players on the team now, that are not playing MLB level. We are missing Mune and Teel badly.

Someone needs to be fired for road preparations cause they are horrible.

And, dare I say it, Jarred Kelenic.

In the 9th inning White Sox TV announcer said its very hard to win on the road in MLB. Maybe so, but this is a much different White Sox team offensively on the road. Its either home run or nothing. I can't help but wonder if the team is much better at home offensively because they have a system where they know what the opposing pitcher is throwing. In other words are they stealing the signs of the opposing pitchers?
