From @ESPNInsights: The Jose Ramirez home run was 0.89 feet above the ground as it crossed home plate. It's the lowest pitch he's hit for a home run in his MLB career.

It's also the lowest pitch anyone has hit for a postseason home run in the pitch-tracking era (since 2008).

Hate to be pessimistic but…this one feels ovah.

Why would you ever fire the hitting coach of the highest scoring team?

Too inconsistent, maybe not fire him but a different approach to their ABs, like what Peters and what Meidroth almost had until he hacked on one that almost hit him. At least make pitchers work, not strike out as much.

Sox Could not hit water falling out of a boat tonight

Chase loves swinging at pitches that almost hit him

Almost as if against righties he has to dive too much to cover outside corner, leaving him exposed to the high, inside fastball

At this rate, I think I’d be content with them getting a single hit and NOT allowing the strikeout record against them.

How could Chase swing at that?

A lot of our damage have come against bad pitchers this year. We usually struggle against the elite pitchers.

everyone struggles vs elite pitching, but you cannot run the same type of offense vs elite pitching that you do vs average/below average pitching, you cannot chase and whiff this much and it's the whole damn lineup

It is wild how far off the plate he is for seeming so small

I do wonder what the count is for Gavin to leave the game.

Gavin Williams has turned into the best pitcher in the world.

MIS 252

Williams 248

as I said previously Pedro Martinez predicted a 300 strikeouts season on his future

They have been this last inning. These are young players. They will get better

It's right there in his name

Is the game plan crap around by getting Williams’ pitch count up there and get him out of the game? Then they have to face their closer which isn’t ideal either. Though I think he pitched multiple innings over a few days and Williams pitched in the 9th last game. Doesn’t seem like any of that matters.

It was not a bad pitch, keep Burke out there and hopefully Williams starts to show he's human at some point. Kwan hit a bloop single and Adell hit was a joke.

This game shows some of the issues that popped up, such as Braden being so awful that they had to play Doyle against an elite RHP.

So does every team... that's why they're elite...

Yeah nobody is gonna be great against the elite pitchers, but some teams are comparatively better than others against them. Against top 25 percentile pitchers this year, the Sox were 2nd to last in wRC+. Foolish Bailey had a whole video on this about the Brewers and the Sox were right there with them at beating up bad pitching but struggling against good pitching.

this type of offense doesn't work vs good pitching, you need to get these guys to change their approach yet they continue to do the exact same thing every single at bat

Most teams don't do well vs. good pitching. You can coach these guys all you want. When they're in the box, can't tell what's coming, and swing at a pitch at their eyes, that's not coaching.

If Burke can shut them down here in a quick inning, the Sox may have a chance to finally get to Williams and come back. But if they fall further back, it's just about over. C'mom Burke!

I do. We have literally given you all the facts about why it was a good pitch and you are still talking s%*#.
