I'd want more than just Joc if Q was going the other way.

Same here. Q has more value than Miller.

Problem is that Pederson doesn't fill the void at 3B or equal the value of Q. Pederson and Peraza would make some sense.

You rank Russell and Baez ahead of Schwarber? Interesting.

Schwarber is a DH whose hitting numbers dropped steadily and drastically throughout the year. I think he'll wind up another Viciedo.

Asked the guy that started the CarGo Sox rumors of there was anything going on. He replied with this:

@gastelumcharlie: nothing so far, maybe at WM, but heard from a @Cubs coach that @whitesox asking about Russell or Báez for Quintana rumors

If the centerpiece of a Q trade is Baez, I will probably stop being a Sox fan

Jesse Rogers was on Kaplan's show yesterday. He is a total Cubs boy. He called the Samardjiza/Russell trade the greatest in Cubs history. Said Russell is the second coming of Barry Larkin, and he is convinced the Shark will be back with the Cubs.

The problem with that proposal is the Rockies GM needs to be drunk and on PCP to,say yes.

No, it will just require the Sox to take an even worse contract in return. The idea of shedding the massive amount of money owed to either CarGo or Reyes would be attractive to the Rockies and they fill an empty 1B spot for a year. It would make sense for the Rockies, but for the Sox you are handcuffing your payroll in the future. If the Sox would eat half of LaRoches salary, they could possibly get a lottery ticket A ball prospect out of the deal as Colorado is going to have to pay someone to fill the position eventually anyway.

I don't know about greatest trade in Cubs history, but it's definitely up there. To basically get Fowler, Russell, McKinney for half years from Hammel and Shark is great.

Straily. part of deal to get Fowler, if you guys didn't know.

Will #WhiteSox will be aggressive or view '16 as a transition year? Thus far they've upgraded C, their 3rd-best (lineup) position, per WAR.

Don't count out Rick Hahn making some impact trades, however. #WhiteSox lineup behind Abreu, Eaton needs help to keep pace in AL Central.

GM Rick Hahn says White Sox not closed to any avenue for making the squad better. Still talking trades and free agents.

Hahn, when asked if the White Sox would trade a starter: "We don't have anyone on our roster who is untouchable."

Kris Bryant will join me and @ESPNChiCubs at 12:30 on @espn1000. White Sox GM Rick Hahn joins us at 1:00. #HotStoveChicago

For any interested in seeing what Hahn has to say

If anyone can provide of summary what Hahn says, it would be greatly appreciated.

I will not be able to listen to it at that time.

Cubs have no ml ready prospects. Baez is high risk.

There is no match in a trade with the Cubs. The cubbie media just wants Cubs to get Sox pitchers for their excess junk.

Can't wait to hear Hahn answer Kaplan's questions about the Cubs dynasty

Now that's funny. The guy who even in hindsight said trading Jeremy Reed was a mistake thinks a 22 year old who hit .320 with power in AAA and can play SS and was a top 5 prospect as a 21 year old is not mlb ready and high risk. Do not acquire. Your entire narrative has been destroyed.
