  1. He challenged him with a finger in his face. Good lord are you soft. The first one to put up their fists was Timmy. Timmy got in a few punches and then got clocked. This is not a "I had to defend myself or it was fight or flight. Timmy decided that he wanted to fight. And he got one. So the plan here is, if I get into a fight that I throw the first punch and I start to lose. Jump him with the rest of the team. LOL. Now you would be singing a different tune if Timmy knocked out Ramirez with one of his 3 punches. If that happened would it been fine for Cleveland to jump him in mass.
  2. Well this is great. Now if something happens and either the Diamondbacks or the Dodgers get goofy and escalate a fight, many of their players will have lengthy suspensions. Because their reaction will not be organic. Its rehearsed.
  3. He iant vampire and he isn't immortal so eventually time will take care of this.
  4. Reinsdorf is tone deaf to these sorts of tactics. So you are going to punish him by putting more money into his and his investors pockets. Wow that will show him. You know when this will all go away. When he is no longer the owner of the team. That is it. Billboards, signs, bags on heads, and attendance games mean nothing to him. JR is an managing investor trying to strip mine profits from the team for him and his investors. Thats it.
  5. Stop carrying water for the org. Rick Hahn will agree with anything that paints him in any light besides incompetent. The reason these people were traded was due to the fact that they had expiring contracts. Lets not act like this was some sort of forward movement to save the clubhouse when it was to extract value from diminishing resources in a lost year.
  6. No. No more ex-players with zero experience.
  7. Kenny is back in charge. So the smoke around them trying to get Sandy is probably correct. Sandy would fit a Kenny type of player. Grifol will want to bring in his guy to set culture. And they are probably not firing Grifol. Thats not their way. So they will double down and pick Grifols guys to shape the team in his image and hope for the best.
  8. Lets let a prospect cook for a bit in the minor leagues and get reps before we promote him way too early.
  9. I cant wait for the Grandal era to be over. What a horrible defensive catcher.
  10. Well Timmy got his s%*# rocked there. He dropped his mitt and put up fists then got clocked. Now the coaches are fighting. Wow.
  11. Stupid is an organizational wide philosophy.
  12. Kenny, you saved me from spending more money. God I love you. I am so sorry I allowed that Rick Hahn to mess up our normal operating procedure.
  13. I am concerned that Hahn and KW will raid the farm this winter to trade for mediocre MLB players to "compete" in 2024.
  14. Dear Rick. JR doesnt believe in long term deals for pitchers. He views Union reps as evil men who want to take more of his money. He doesnt like them. He only cares about players who want to give team friendly discounts that put more money in his and his investors pockets.
  15. I wonder what washed up vet Kenny will trade him for to "go for it" next year.
  16. Frank Thomas keeps talking about how this is a bunch of superstars that just are not clicking. Bullshit. I love you Frank, but that is bullshit.
  17. I believe there is a segment of the front office who believes that we can just sprinkle a few randoms around the diamond and maybe magic will happen and we can contend due to being in a weak division. The old gambler Kenny program. The old all you need to do is get in and just anything can happen.
  18. I was at the game today due to a corporate event. I got there early to help setup the suite. Things I noticed. I watched several cubs players doing the same knee drills that Ron Washington does in Atlanta. I see them using quite a bit of the same drills I have seen in Atlantas pregame. I watched Dansby working out for almost 2 hours before the game ( he didnt play in the game ) but that was quite a bit of work. I watched several players taking a good amount of grounders. Very position focused. It started with basic glove work, then they flipped the ball to the coach at home so he could hit it to get the batted ball reaction. They worked on this for a good amount of time. The cubs are bad, but it looks like they are working on things that successful teams work on. Now my question is, how often do we see our players doing this. How much is Tim Anderson out there taking grounders working on his defense and his craft. How about the rest of them. I have been to pregame before at US Cellular and I have seen a lot of things but I dont see this there outside of spring training.
  19. Probably more like an undersized grinder who has these baseball intangibles.
  20. Dear White Sox. No more fat pitchers. Especially fat pitchers over the age of 30. It doesn't work out well for the sox.
  21. Typical. We need these players to play to a decent level so we can flip them. Yet the minute the clock strikes all star break they go on their annual price killer by regressing to the mean.
  22. I love love love this pick. He is 17 years old. This is the draft version of getting an international signing. He has crazy physical tools.
  23. https://www.mlb.com/video/2023-draft-calvin-harris-c?t=mlb-draft This isnt a warm review of his catching numbers.
