Seranthony is a drag on the pitching staff and a sunken cost. Maybe his roster spot could be filled by Tanner McDougal or another guy from the Minors. Blue Jays have a decent rotation, but a subpar bullpen that frustrated John Schneider. Perhaps the Sox can rough them up again.

Both of those guys should be very cheap. Singer has pitched better recently and his stats are weighed down heavily by a bad stretch he had in May after he got hit by a line drive. I'm not sure why we'd need another right handed outfielder since we've probably got 1 too many when everyone gets healthy.

And in reality - I don’t think I’d even do that unless my internal grade on him was a lot lower. Detmers could be a guy whose emerged but giving up on a fully controlled guy with swing and miss stuff (albeit he has bust risk) just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me - especially knowing we have Smith and McDpugall hopefully on the way soon.

Hagen Smith straight up is as much as I’d offer and even that has some risk. I get Angels may not do that but it’s a high end arm for a solid pitcher with above average stuff closer to free agency…but he isn’t a top of the rotation guy and Smith could be.
