  1. Past hour

  2. I'm fine with it tonight as the cubs have some good right handers in the bullpen. We can do some things late with PH.
  3. Chase and Sam have been see sawing for weeks now and it’s fine. He’s also red hot. Not sure any player deserves the most ABs over him
  4. Vargas might be more valuable as a trade piece than Bonemer. If this is truly Vargas as far as who he is as a player, he’s worth an established 2-3 type starting pitcher perhaps. The only question is the timing of when to pull the trigger. The White Sox are well positioned. Given that I know I’d much rather be paying money to a pitcher than Vargas.
  5. Chase at leadoff over Sam is something. Chase strikes out too much to lead off imo
  6. Teams almost always leave SS’s there as long as possible to retain their value internally as well as for trade. Same reason Antonacci was at second, and Meidroth played more SS along with second coming up in the minors. Or Braden in CF when every scout projected him as a RFer. Bonemer só far has played 3B as well, but not 2B or LF. Primarily SS.
  7. 15. Chicago White Sox reranked after draft, mlbpipeline 2026 preseason rank: 16 2025 midseason rank: 17 2025 preseason rank: 6 2024 midseason rank: 11 Top 100 prospects: Roch Cholowsky, SS (No. 11); Caleb Bonemer, 3B/SS (No. 30); Billy Carlson, SS (No. 62) The White Sox have gone from an MLB-record 121 losses in 2024 to pulling away in the American League Central just two years later, thanks in large part to a system that has sent six Top 100 prospects (led by Colson Montgomery and Braden Montgomery) and several other key contributors (Sean Burke, Sam Antonacci, Grant Taylor) to Chicago. Next in line is Bonemer, who's tearing up Double-A pitching at age 20. The Sox replenished their system with a record $22,670,200 in bonus payments in the 2026 Draft, reeling in No. 1 overall pick Cholowsky, two of the best high school bats available in infielders Cole Prosek and Landon Thome and some much-needed pitching highlighted by Joey Volchko.
  8. My favorite part about these series is that regardless of the outcome, a Chicago team is winning
  9. My guess is we see him make a return to the lineup in Houston on the 1st when rosters expand or at home on September 4th against the Twinkies.
  10. Thats because they are top 5 in walks allowed. They give up bombs but not walks in front of bombs
  11. Today

  12. Hey! Don't criticize Venable or a certain subset of posters are going to get on your ass for being negative!
  13. Kind of shocked the Cubs are doing so well while allowing 30 more HRs than they hit
  14. I fucking hate the Cubs. I really hope Meidroth sets this game off right with a leadoff bomb and we never look back.
  15. Undercover Cubs fan @pcintelligence is not impressed.
  16. I still don’t like the idea of taking our two best positional prospects and disrupting them from a rhythm. Roch should be starting every day at short and Bonemer should be starting wherever they think he is most likely to excel - may that be at third or in left. If he doesn’t have the chops to cut it in the field then and only then would I be ok with them allowing him to be our DH.
  17. My prediction: good guys 7 blue flu boys 3 But what do I know !!
  18. Schriff Dawg waking up this morning, getting ready to call another Crosstown Series.
  19. 2-10 through 4 rehab games with 2 doubles, 1 BB, 1 K Weird kind of lost season for him
