I've been here for over 20 years....I am fine with people venting, it gets old when it's the same 2-3 posters all the time with the same complaint.

I mean, this is kind of a bad way to frame it. This is a layered topic, they could have gone a few different ways with Crochet. I was in the camp that they should have locked him up given his age, but that was never going to happen with Jerry. If I put myself in the shoes of Getz, knowing the team needed to reset and the limited assets in the org, Crochet didn’t serve much purpose on this team in 2025 and 2026. The package seemed fair but obviously it will take years to determine if they got quality out of it. But in a perfect world, given where this team is at, if they can get 2 quality starting caliber MLB players out of Crochet, it made some sense.

The guy who was in charge of player development in an organization that developed no talent was promoted to GM. I am flabbergasted how anyone can defend him.

Look, for 25 of the 26 players on the White Sox roster, I would love to see them succeed, despitethe odds. The 26th gives me joy to see him fail. Also

It’s ironic that Clevinger is the only player Getz has acquired who’s ever been accused of being a hitter

I know it was to be expected, but the offense is (obviously) horrendous again. Maybe it will just make it all the sweeter when guys like Meidroth and Teel arrive.

I think leaning into their org strengths developing pitching to flip it for hitting would be reasonable. But would you expect them to hit on the right trades? Of course not.

I'm hoping we see both Quero and Meidroth in a few weeks. Even if they take their lumps it will be a far better watch then whatever this is we are currently being subjected to.

To not acquire another SS backup in case Colson failed is so insane. Getz has no clue what he’s doing.

God please stop playing Jake Amaya. Play Brooks at SS. With the current roster, Amaya should be third on the depth chart at SS behind Brooks and Maton.

The headline says "White Sox front office still has faith in long-term plan", well at least somebody has faith, and apparently there is a plan!

To be fair, ownership/management told the fan base that this was to prevent a rebuild, and that because we are in the AL Central, this would be easier. But sure. It's the fans. And if they were intentionally lying to us, this is the same group that is now telling us how great everyone they hired is, and that everything will be just fine, so you can see how we don't really believe them.
