  5. Depends on how you're defining "when he lost his command" I guess, he's always walked guys. But his best two starts (7.2IP 3ER and 7IP 1ER) were both caught by Quero, one in April and one in July. He's allowed 6+ runs 4 times. Three were caught by Teel, one by Thaiss. None by Quero. He's allowed 1 or 0 runs over 5+ innings 3 times. Two were caught by Quero, one by Thaiss. None by Teel. He has 5 quality starts. 4 were caught by Quero, one by Thaiss. None by Teel. I just think Quero calls him better, or at least that the possibility is worth exploring.

  6. Well have you considered that if they hadn't played well enough to win 3 games, they could have lost them instead?

  20. When he gets the save at Fenway next August after Teel and the recently called up Braden Montgomery take Crochet yard, we will have definitively won the trade.

  21. He had an awesome bases loaded walk in Game 3. Clearly biggest play of that game.

  23. The Sox have a 2.66 ERA in the previous 3 games. Is that bad?

  24. Alexander is trash too, just an awful staff. If we didn't have a lineup of over achievers right now, the twins would probably be on the verge of a 4 game sweep instead of the Sox

  25. Nice job by Cannon to get out of it without any runs scoring. Also this Twins team is ROUGH, and that’s something coming from a fan of a team one year removed from the worst record of all time.

  28. Quero can flat out hit. You do not trade Quero or Teel. You maybe move Lee if you can get a great return.

  29. Rookie catchers showing off against a team that could really use some young catching talent. Saw some particularly delusional Twins fans musing that they could trade Wallner for Teel or Bailey Ober for Harry Ford.

  32. Wilson really had a poor year. I count 12-15 players on the 40-man who really wouldn't be missed. I hope they bring up Palette. I think they're going to have to put him on the 40-man anyway in December.

  38. Schweitzer and Adams have zero chance at being rule 5 picks. Adams especially would mean someone would have to give up a 40 man roster spot to pick him and wait until the spring when you can open the 60 day DL and remove him. Berroa and Bush are quick DFAs to get off of the 40 man roster, and won't be missed if they are picked. I know Murphy has had plenty of low level success, but nothing in his profile screams the kind of stuff that gets a guy picked in the Rule 5. Maybe someone goes crazy, but I would call it 90/10 against it happening. Thorpe gets re-rostered for sure. The only pitchers that have been talked about that need to really be protected are Pallette and McDougal.

  39. It was the whole anti-tank idea. If there wasn't extra incentive for being #30, maybe teams don't try THAT hard to lose.

  40. Are you really going to continue to argue with me when I am literally providing you with the evidence you requested? Considering Clevinger has been signed by the Sox for the past three straight seasons (and not just in 2025), the incident wasn’t that long before the Sox initially signed him. Also, my post that you are contesting was that Clevinger “has had both issues with previous teammates and women.” Here is more evidence for you since you are apparently too lazy to look it up for yourself — both a teammate and his manager at the time calling him out in quotes below. I’m sure you already know about his “troubles” with women so I don’t need to rehash that as well, right? Why anyone would feel the need to defend this guy is hilarious. He’s a crappy person and he’s an equally crappy pitcher these days, but you do you I guess… https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29655827/indians-zach-plesac-says-mike-clevinger-unfairly-cast-bad-people-covid-violation

  41. Great win in the 9th. That last grounder to Mead. Such a bad throw to first. Nice dig by whomever was playing first. All of a sudden we've been beating up the Twins. Nice.

  44. Baldwin is trying to learn 7 positions, of course there are going to be growing pains. Stick him at one position and I'm sure he'd look better, but that defeats the purpose of his versatility. I don't know why we are complaining a rookie being used as a swiss army knife isn't a gold glover everywhere he plays.
