9/4 GT: Sox v. Twinkies - Holy Sh*t Boys, We’re onto Something
Offense was what you'd expect after a 13 run outburst the day before. A Law Of Nature. The Good Gio showed up. Although this is a different Gio than his short-lived glory days of a few years ago.

TLR out for the year
You and I are conditioned to look for conspiracies and this certainly smells like one, but I still give it only a 10% chance of being true. But that's still a chance.

AND THAT'S A DYLAN CEASE ALMOST NO HITTER WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
I'm thinking of a flashing cursor, or was it a cursing flasher. Feeling sorry for the fan who was picked to win a new Nissan Rogue on the pre-game lead-in on AM 1000 if the Sox pulled off a no hitter.

9/3 GT : Sox v. Twinkies 615CT - Don’t Stop Now Boys!!
Huge dominating win and we're all weepy afterwards. This game, the best game, messes with you, doesn't it? Dammit, that slider needed to be a foot lower.

9/3 GT : Sox v. Twinkies 615CT - Don’t Stop Now Boys!!
Warm evening, big crowd, three run homers, a few cold ones. I love this game. Oh yes, and Cease.

9/2 GT: Sox v. Twinkies 710CT - A new leaf turned?
His stuff hums but he can't get people out. Don't ask me, I'm only a poster here. Big surprise of the game: Grandal gunned down a really fast runner, or Jose didn't strike out with the bases loaded? Either way, we're all excited about a few wins, ugly as they may have been, and you can include me in that.

Right on target. Who then should we ask? How 'bout an ex-player. Keuchel? McGuire?

8/31 GT: Sox vs. Royals - TLR Days Over???
As long as you mentioned it, he's given up runs in his last three outings, one of which was a non save situation. Naturally, Stoney blamed that time on the fact that it was a non save situation. What about the other two times, Steve? Maybe Liam just isn't that good right about now. Stone has the curse of a mathematical mind. Get an idea and stick to it in the face of facts to the contrary. Otherwise, nice win, good defense, timely hitting, the long ball and a solid start. To sum it all up, who cares.

Four Roster Moves, 8/31/22
I hope you're not leaving Grandal out of the passed balls discussion. He can hold his own in that category.

Abreu to slumping Sox: “We have to believe”
Yep, his numbers lie. Sixty RBI with three guys who are frequently on base hitting ahead of him. Not good. Lotta seeing eye ground ball singles in there too.

Velasquez reinstated, Foster optioned to AAA
Did someone say that they were aspiring to mediocrity rather than putting up with it until a better alternative existed?

Velasquez reinstated, Foster optioned to AAA
Vince looked like he belonged last night. Just saying. Stuff was hopping. Mediocrity ain't bad sometimes, in comparison to just plain awful.

Sell the Team
They already had Jim Paxson and Clyde Drexler at SG. Who needs a third shooting guard? ?

Give Your 2022 Sox a Slogan
Could be, not that I know what Wreck It Ralph is. I thought I remembered it from being used in reference to the 1977 Sox.

Give Your 2022 Sox a Slogan
Pretty good, three in a row. We haven't lost our sense of humor. My slogan? It's Clobberin' Time! (Means more than two runs scored.)

8/25- Sox at Orioles, 6:05
Preventable tragedy. I haven't felt this low in a long time.

8/24- Sox at Orioles, 6:05
Always is a long time. That's why mathematical minds love it.

Hack Wilson was a short legged center fielder. HOF. And I only had to go back 75 years.

Fire Everyone Thread/Rebuild Maybe?
Gonna be some good times two months from now when we refer back to this thread in the morning before we head out to the parade. Could happen.?

White Sox vs. Guardians 8/20 5:10pm CDT (Cueto vs. Bieber)
Imagine if the injury had happened to the Grandal who was carrying last year's team at this point of the season. That guy was irreplaceable.

8/18 Finale vs. Astros (Giolito v. Garcia RHP) 1:10 PM
Before Vince went IL I thought his stuff was jumping and he could be coached up to a useful level. Now, less movement and no control. But it coulda been. So I wouldn't call it a bad idea to try, even if it failed.

Played golf and forgot to set the recorder for this one. Funny how things work out.
