I’m very much in the camp of trade anyone that isn’t a part of the team’s future. At the same, I understand needing at least one adult hitter in the lineup next year, and Tauchman seems like a good presence all around.

Seems that way, but I think they have a more stable young core than the Sox did so their window *should* be open longer than the Sox window was. But if they don’t invest in pitching, it’s probably all moot.

IMO guys hitting dingers in street clothes would be even better.

Also, the players do seem to care about the WBC, so putting that in the middle of the season where they all need a bit of a mental and physical break would be terrible.
