  1. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) s***! thanks a ton for the help guys but my original one still looks the best on the original skin. But now that I know about this .gif thing I'm pretty sure I can do it if I'm able to convert it. But when I try to convert it on paint which is all I have right now the color gets all wonky. Can someone convert it for me without losing the quality? .gif files usually lose quality when saved, the point of it is to condense file size and add for more compadibility. Like the sig I'm currently using which is a .gif. If you look at AJ's face you can see dots, the color is kinda f***ed up, that's just the way that .gifs are.
  2. July 2nd, 2003 Pauly was in one of the worst slumps you're ever gonna see and comes through with a game tying HR against Guardado in the 11th, it was Carl Everett and Roberto Alomar's first game with the Sox and Frank hit a walk off in the 12th off of Guardado. There may only of been 19,555 fans there but it sounded like 40,000.
  3. Garland: Bad: Outings where he's surrendered more than 4 ER = 4 Outings where he's surrendered 10 or more hits = 3 Outings where he's issued 3 or more walks = 2 Outings where he's surrendered 3 or more HRs = 2 Good: Outings where he's held the oppenent to 2 ERs or less = 13 Outings where he's held the opponent to 0 ERs =3 Outings where he's held the opponent to 4 or less hits = 5 Outings where he's issued 1 walk or less to the opponent = 15 Outings where he has managed to not walk a single batter = 3 Buehrle: Bad: Outings where he's surrendered more than 4 ER = 3 Outings where he's surrendered 10 or more hits = 3 Outings where he's issued 3 or more walks = 3 Outings where he's surrendered 3 or more HRs = 1 Good Outings where he's held the oppenent to 2 ERs or less = 13 Outings where he's held the opponent to 0 ERs = 6 Outings where he's held the opponent to 4 or less hits = 4 Outings where he's issued 1 walk or less to the opponent = 15 Outings where he has managed to not walk a single batter = 7 The fact of the matter is, even as dominate as Garland has been this year, Buehrle has been even better. Garland may have 3 more wins however Buehrle IMO as of August 7th is the AL Cy Young.
  4. That's the best thing you've made thus far.
  5. In order to have no background on an image you have to save it as a smart object. .gif will give you what you need, but you already know that.
  6. :sleep not exactly breaking news.
  7. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 03:00 AM) I heard this rumor on the radio, but I can't remember who said it. They did say that Reds ownership killed it because of the PR nightmare they thought it would cause. Anyway, is there still a chance that Griffey Jr. clears waivers and the Sox could revisit a trade for him? For his bat and his defense, it'd be great to pick him up, especially if at least a decent portion of that deferred money (along with some of his contract) would be picked up by the Reds without the Sox giving up the farm. Any chance he'd be a clubhouse disruption? Also, if he were to come here (I know I'm thinking way too far ahead on this, but it would be an issue), what would the OF situation be, or would he just DH? This thread will answer all of your questions. Oh yeah, Rowand posted that comment before the Griffey to the Sox rumors were ever reported....

I can honestly say I have no idea how I wound up here. I found the site around thanksgiving of '03, I lurked for months until someone posted something that pissed me off and I had to register and say something to them. I was once named the next Jeckle which I tood offense to and stopped posting here for like 4 months, then something happened in the White Sox world and I came back. I have since quit approximatley 4 times yet always seem to find my way back here. I know I'll excape this place someday but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
  9. Ryan Dempster does a s***ty Harry Caray however he is better than Will Ferrell who's Harry Caray impression is vastly overrated.
  10. Whipped this together this morning.
  11. Gotta love Ronny, he adds so much to the Cubs radio broadcast. That's probably why they were ranked 13th in the NL by USA today when it comes to Baseball Radio broadcasts.
  12. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 01:54 PM) Don't look now but Derek Lee currently leads in 0 triple crown catagories. That's because Miguel Cabrera is 100X better hitter than he is and this year Andruw Jones is displaying more power than anyone had expected (got him late in my fantasy draft,he's paying dividends), not to mention the fact that Pujols is a better run producer than DLee and CLee is having an unbelievable power year in Milwaukee. DLee is a very good player but there was no way in hell he was going to win the Triple Crown.
  13. QUOTE(YahtzeeSox @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 01:30 PM) I do find it hard to believe the Tiger series the weekend before couldn't accomodate a group this large. Just everyone take a chill pill, you act like everything Brooks does is perfect. IMO he (or whoever coordinated this) screwed up big time cause not every kid can take the day off of school for a baseball game. What time do you go to sleep on a given school night? I've had no problem over my 18 years of going to Sox games, going to a 7:05 game and waking up plenty rested the next morning for school. I usually would get home around 11:15 and I'm up at 5:45 every morning. Maybe you should push your bedtime back past 9 o'clock for one day. Oh yeah and I'm having a hard time finding something that Brooks has sqrewed up since he's been with the Sox.
  14. Eric Byrnes gotta love those 37 career SBs and 4 this year. Not to mention Omar Vizquel who over the past 5 seasons at most has had at most 19 SBs in the given time frame. Get Jose Reyes and Scott Podsednik in there. Reyes is widely considered the fastest player in baseball and Podsednik leads the majors in SBs.

He was on Seattle from '99 to the beginning of '04. The starting pitcher for Seattle yesterday, Joel Piniero, is a good friend of his from thier days of being in the same rotation for 1.5 years. However I thought Freddy had good stuff yesterday and looked pretty good on the mound. I'm not worried about him AT ALL.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 12:56 AM) Only if it were true.... :rolly Besides, can you really argue against it? Absolutely not it's quite true and do not take that out of your sig, it's funny.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 12:48 AM) My attempt your holy administrationess: I might come up with one by tomorrow morning just to show you up. I might get around to it, no gaurantee. Honestly, that's one of your better sigs to date, you toned down the size compared to your others, you're very good at cropping images as well. Very simple. Though you do love scan lines don't you?
  18. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 11:45 PM) Jason is either saying that JR could be a player again once the rust is off, or that he thinks JR is tasty if you skin him. I'm not quite sure. Or maybe he's saying if you scraped the black burnt parts off of that toast, you could eat it and it would be mighty tasty.
  19. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 07:54 PM) but that is exactly what Ozzie did to him by refusing to give him consistent work. Look what Viz was able to do when he got consistent work. Shingo is one of those guys and Ozzie should've given him that work especially when Marte went down since that was when Shingo was on his hot streak. If he would have given Shingo anymore innings especially in clutch situations we'd probably have 3-4 more losses right now.
  20. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) Where's a Cowboys one? :puke
  21. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 06:33 PM) are the pics available on line anywhere? You have to buy the mag. ESPN doesn't usually release thier pictures online.
  22. You're using silverish grey?
  23. QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) My concern. The Yanks always want veteran experience in the playoffs. Shingo has that experience. Not only that, but if we play the yanks in post season, how much will Shingo's addrenalin be flying to get back at us for letting him go after having a 2nd place fininish for rookie of the year last year, and then using him to help us land Gooch, and now when he was starting to work things out, and finally we say "Thanks for everything fella" "We got what we wanted out of you, now go take a hike!!!" We didn't tell him to take a hike we tried to send him down to Charlotte, as a matter of fact he accepted the assignment but changed his mind before reporting and requested his release.
