  1. I know JR needs to sell, but Dave Wilder? This guy still doesn’t get why he can’t get a job in baseball. KW is probably an asshole, but he’s supposed to be friendly with this guy after how bad he made KW look for having so much faith in him? Dave Wilder is delusional. If the Sox were so bad, and he so talented, why was he working for them and not a team more deserving of his ability? And since JR doesn’t allow minority outsiders on his payroll, how was he ever hired , let alone promoted, in the first place?
  2. You can rip JR for a lot of things, but not this. The Sox have had a lot of minority coaches, managers, and the top exec. Be real.
  3. He had 33 plate appearances in AAA befor this season, and the Sox made him the starting RF. He basically needs to learn how to play baseball. When they used to have Soxfest, I was at a seminar about the minor leagues. Buddy Bell was mentioning how unlike American players, most Latin signees have very little game experience. These guys get signed like some NFL teams draft based on combines. It takes time to know which bas to throw to, how to move runners over etc. Some do, most don’t. And it appears the White Sox don’t do a very good job of teaching at least their better prospects, these things.
  4. The guy was rushed. Expecting him to contribute to a contender was a stretch. I get sending him down, but there is no reason Pedro has to basically call him out to the press. Like all guys who have great arms, he likes to show his off. His throw the other day was bad, but he clearly slipped when throwing. He should have called for the ball on the collision with Andrus, but shouldn’t Elvis have called for it as well. Despite what Stone said during the telecast the replay shows Elvis said squat. He’s a young guy who hasn’t been taught the nuances of the game. Chris Getz’ development team failed him., and Pedro and his staff are apparently incapable.
  5. If Chris Getz and his staff didn’t feel Colas was ready, why would Hahn and KW pencil him in RF to start the season? At least Getz is a different voice, but it’s hard to imagine how he is an improvement. 5 months ago the White Sox thought they could win a World Series in 2023 with Oscar colas as the regular RF.
  6. Pedro has no problem being a tough guy to rookies. Why can’t he tell TA he’s batting 8th because he sucks?
  7. The funny thing is KW was the farm director, did it wrong, and he got the GM job as well.
  8. It’s hard for me to believe Chicago is known more for pizza that will give you an immediate heart attack and hot dogs without ketchup that the Italian beef.
  9. The mistake made with the rebuild was having the same dopes that got you into a situation of having a bad major league team with nothing in the minors were in charge of the rebuild. It’s a minor miracle they had a year and a half of some success. Any team that hires KW or RH will get what they deserve for not paying attention. The only thing is, they won’t let it go on as long as JR.
  10. TA not running. If he was a rookie, Pedro would be a tough guy and bench him.
  11. If the Sox lose, they are officially eliminated. Who says they didn’t play meaningful games in September?
  12. Our guy who was hired because he was supposed to know the team, is talking to reporters in Detroit trying to figure things out. Meanwhile, other teams’ execs are scouting in Japan. this has been a Mickey Mouse operation. Nothing changes with Getz.
  13. The 2013 team was pretty bad. 2017 or 2018 they lost 100. 2007 was awful. They lost 99 only because of a decent September. This seems like the worst because I thought they had a legit shot at the division. That was over in a couple of weeks.
  14. The problem with Kopech is he can't throw strikes. How does making him a reliever fix that problem?
  15. The Tennessee Volunteers found that out for us. Up until this point, since high school, so 3 years in college, he has pitched 202 innings and made 13 starts, and has been injured at least 4 times.
  16. i had season tickets for 30 years or so. I've seen a lot of bad baseball. But I always stayed for the whole game, even when it was hopeless, even when James Shields gave up 7 runs in the first inning. But starting last year, there was just something different about this awfulness. i would leave games in the 5th inning. I didn't renew my tickets. That turned out to be a good move. It was even worse this year. I still want them to win, but knew this season was over in April. They don't want to throw us a bone, and commit to being good. JR said hiring Getz was for the fans. If the fans had a say, Chris Getz would not be working for the White Sox in any role. More of the same. I wish MLB owners would put some pressure on JR to sell. This is a huge market. He is turning a lot of people away from baseball.
  17. And if for some reason they are good, you can commit to a 2025 plan in September and get playoff tickets. Obviously, a miracle would have to occur for that. It is insane to me they are raising prices.
  18. It's fitting the team that employed Terry Bevington as a manager for more than one season, would bring back this clown after every bit of evidence shows he's way over his head.
  19. Every error TA makes seems to cost the Sox a game.
  20. I wonder if Getz has any regrets committing to Pedro for another season. They lay down immediately. How can he be back? You would think with only 30 of these jobs in the world, you would have to earn your keep. Apparently all Pedro has to do is tell the press that Getz and JR are great, and competitive and want to win. If they really wanted to win, Pedro is an easy call.
  21. I would say they have checked out, but that would require them to have checked in at some point.
  22. With Robert out, why would a White Sox fan watch this game?
  23. Seby is a 0.0 fWAR and a -0.5 bWAR. If you are Rick Hahn and Kenny Williams, that is a high bar to get over, but most GMs can do better.
