Kim Ng walks away from Marlins
Kim Ng is the ideal person for JR to hire...and oddly enough was an analytical mind before they were cool in the MLB She was with the White Sox in their heyday. The 90s White Sox with her were as good as any era and actually one of the best in baseball over that time. She would always be second fiddle to Kenny Williams. She was Asst GM with the Yankees and won 3 titles She has been around a lot of ball clubs and at a high level at MLB and is all of 54 years old. This is easily sold as being the only option JR would make but was inconceivable in August when the Getz debacle happens. She is someone that can become what KW was not, a leader of the organization. Of course none of this would happen because JR is bitter she left and he's a fool. This move would not be questioned by any media source and would be covered for months. She could no worse then the s%*# show he ran out of town and she buffers Getz. If there is a sale of the team on the table, the next regime can rely on her as proven commodity not only in the day to day baseball operations but has connection in the MLB front office. Alas this has no chance of happening.

2023 Division Series
This sentiment is idiotic. Baseball is a random generator sport. Unlike the other major sports...maybe hockey is similar, the playoffs are an absolute crapshoot. The goal of any organization should be to make it there. Once there, all bets are off.

2023 Division Series
JR claims to be a baseball fan. If so he is watching these playoffs and saying, yes Harper, Wheeler and Verlander are doing well but what about Machado, DeGrom, Betts.....see I am right. Jon Jay was the right play for RF. What a clown.

2023 Division Series
Toronto's window is still open the White Sox is not was more my point. I didn't think they would aspire to be that but I think that would have been how the White Sox window would have gone had they not made horifically bad moves. They are not structed to do what I think they want to.

2023 Division Series
Toronto is what I think the White Sox would have been if their window was open and they spent wisely on free agents. An oddly constructed team that doesn't really get the results they should.

The Panthers are going to get the 1.1 and the Bears will then have one heck of a decision especially if they are sitting around 1.6. If Fields continues looking like the guy then the 1.1 haul could be epic but for or against.

MLB Trade Rumors - Chicago White Sox Offseason Outlook - by Tim Dierkes
Soler will injure himself standing up after signing the deal.

2023 Wildcard Round
Wheeler f'd up the window as much as in ineptness behind Harper. I'm not sure Machado makes this situation any better and probably worse as he wasn't sitting watching Anderson make a fool of himself at SS in silence.

They Gone - lots of coaching changes
Wasn't last year's staff all his guys except Katz and Boston.

2023 Wildcard Round
That was why I didn't want the cubs to get in with the 6th seed. I wanted a Brewer Oriole World Series.

Fire Pedro Grifol
If you like the bulls and hawks you are good....you get the marquee as well. I was going to cancel mine in August but I think I wanna see what this new Hawks guy is all about.

I meant more along the lines of criminal legality. I understand MLB can enforce a standard of conduct but if a person won't press charges they are consenting to the behavior.

I think that is becoming more and more common. Wouldn't be shocked if that is why Holocek and Kuska stepped down at LA and Rita. When you pay for high school and sports are the main driver, parents believe they have a greater say in things. greg, I think Brian's kids and work are taking up his time now.

Trevor Bauer
Sure you can, you can refuse to press charges. The Dodgers had no issue at all with giving him that contract. Oddly that location and the contract led to this situation. The Athletic piece is exactly what I was talked about yesterday in this thread. The state of the media in America could be the greatest detriment to our society currently.

2023 Wildcard Round
I really wanted the Brewers and Orioles. Sucks Woodruff is out but Burnes needed to pitch better. Brewer offense stinks.

There is also the whole conspiracy theory of owners dictating the policy on how this impacts their organization. Not sure where I saw this but the same policy has Marcel Ozuna playing and ending Bauer's career was an interesting comparative.

greg, I don't know the inner workings at BR but Q's lower levels are doing very well. The talent on varsity the last two years was down and may have been a reason Brian left. The arrow appears to be pointing up and I think Q sticks around. They should be in the last three games and have a chance to win and make the playoffs. Losing to Marist has to sting as they are 1-5 and out of the playoffs but can hang their hat on beating BR. As for QB, if you have 2 or 3 QBS, you don't have one and from what I heard that is the case. They also lost their D1 MLB who was vital in them beating Maine South.

Sports Media discussion
WSCR had an exclusive interview with Eberflus yesterday afternoon per their social media account.....so exclusive, ESPN 1000 had one at 8:30 in the morning as they do every Monday. I really detest WSCR at this point. I feel like greg yelling at the clouds over this.

Based on the history of MLB handling this, I think either something has come out more recently or there are items out there that he is not addressing. My issue in all of this is the media handling. There is a reason why players are suspended with no back story into it like Jimmy Cordero. That came out of nowhere and was a major suspension. Then there is Clevenger and the media (mainly WSCR) that ran unsubstantiated proof and interviewed an alleged victim while station employees went on a witchhunt. He didn't even get a slap on the wrist. That punishment was barely a CYA by MLB. Yet here we are with some still wanting him to be gone, which he probably will. If you want him gone because of the COVID/Francona action fine but the Indians are still hanging on to that ring leader so I'm not certain there is stock in that as well.

Yet Pedro will remain. What a disgraceful operation.

Postseason picture
Whole series was a joke and it would be nice for Manfred to give the Marlins the Mets first round pick next year as a penalty for the willful negligence that went on this whole series. It could cost the Marlins a playoff spot. First with the DH and then last night.

Postseason picture
I wondered if they would have finished it this morning and then travelled to Pittsburgh or moved tonight's Pittsburgh game to a DH tomorrow.

If you need hall of famers to make the scheme work, it's not the defensive scheme that is making it work it is the hall of famers. Urlacher made Lovie's scheme work. Imagine him in a scheme that was more imaginative for him. Why invest if LB and DB if they needed a DL to make it work. They are historically bad and that is his specialty.

As the season is now ending, I missed him this season. Fully understand moving him but I now realized I missed his desire

Nuked the team and nobody has gone on to do anything after the nuclear meltdown. It was a great move by them as opposed to paying young talent to turn around and do nothing. They are playing meaningful baseball on September 28th. I would die for that. Regardless of what happens over the next two days, I envy them. The idiots running the White Sox trade away Tatis and Semien for middling pitchers.
