8/16 Game Thread: White Sox @ Cubs 7:05CT
I'm sure they didn't

Fire Pedro Grifol
He is a horrible manager. One thing I find interesting is now that they are out of it, but wins still matter to him, guys are going multiple innings out of the pen. When winning mattered that never happened, even if a guy threw 5 pitches to get out of an inning.

8/13 White Sox vs Brewers, 1:10 PM CT
I just turned on for first time in a while. Sounds like Yoan I'd hot. That AB says otherwise. How is he batting 4th. Promoting next season tickets. I'll hold off on that for now.

Halsey or the other the switch hitter in AAA should be out there. God the organization sucks. Better lose all 3 to the Brewers

No Official plans to announce for SoxFest
The owner hasn't attended in over 10 years, same with KW. This to me is another indication that Hahn is out he door. This is more about former players, seminars and baseball BS. Nobody would have gone last year or this year to listen to the nonsensical idiocy of Rick Hahn. I'd actually like to hear what KW had to say, he was usually a good listen. Didn't they feed us the same line of BS about honoring the fans somehow last winter? What a clown car of an organization.

Riordan: Physical altercation between TA and Grandal before AS break
I missed their follow up coverage on Clevenger when the MLB cleared him.

Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture
The team was run correctly under Renteria. Players seemed to play for him. He was a terrible game day manager but that could be worked around. When he was fired he needed to be replaced by somebody that could command the room. That did not happen. This organization failed the team by having a leadership void. The players know the roster is poorly constructed and have no respect for the coaching staff, the front office or themselves. Absolute s%*# show.

Death and taxes.

8/3 Sox @ Rangers, 1PM, NBCSN
I said this in some thread but if KW is in charge the Burger trade to the Marlins leads me to believe she is replacing KW this winter. I don't know why I think that about that trade but it's such an odd trade at that time.

Sadly they really believed that one home run and nice week of BABIP had turned the corner. Although these clowns couldn't get Trayce Thompson into the lineup fast enough. What an absolute s%*# show.

I need one of those stats that tells us the team's record when the "core" plays together. With Vaughn replacing Abreu and what not. Let's hear about the record when Anderson is playing. The issue with this team is offense. NOTHING was done at the deadline to address this and nothing has been done via trades or free agency in probably close to ten years. They are all coming back next year. I love the media thinking that they are now embarrassed and will light a fire. Losing to Oakland, being embarrassed by Houston, missing the playoffs, losing 100 games. There is no fire to be found in any offensive player on this team. The media is not covering them as there is no story with them just pure s%*#.

Fire Rick Hahn
Stone isn't even trying any more.

Burger To Marlins
The White Sox do though which makes the trade interesting. For Christ sake they moved him to 2B.

Fire Rick Hahn
The trade with Florida intrigues me in his regard. The trade deadline was simply saving salary for the remainder of the year. Why make a trade with the Marlins for the only player that was not a salary dump???? Kim Ng is replacing Kenny Williams also, the Marlins have no issue trading young pitching.

Burger To Marlins
Burger swung at literally everything. The league adjusted and stopped throwing him strikes. He is now taking walks. The league will now start throwing him strikes again and be more careful with him. He may strike out more often but should hit for power. The White Sox got a legitimate LHP. That is much more needed then a 1B/DH of which they have at least two. I would still be interested in what the return was for Eloy and Vaughn.

Burger To Marlins
Don't see much to not like about this deal. He pitched well prior to being injured and seems ot be coming back strong. I liked Burger a lot and wonder what the asking price was for Vaughn and Eloy. I'd of moved Vaughn before Burger and put Burger at first. He was fine at second.

Guardians at White Sox 110 pm GRF
I'm really wondering if there is any self scouting within this organization. Why hasn't Victor Reyes gotten a look, why did Remillard not get a look for last couple of years. Why was Piscotty never given a look. None of these guys are the answer but this whole organization is founded on lighting in a bottle.

He doesn't hit the ball on the ground per Pedro.

He's number 2 in rotation next year. I'd package him with Bummer and hope a team buys on the potential.

Giolito & Reynaldo to LAA. Update: Angels put on waivers
Jerry being mad and upset is almost as big a bullshit line as Virginia McCaskey being furious the Bears just spent the last 30 years getting their brains beat in by the Packers. IT's RA RA media bullshit. The Chicago media is a bunch of pathetic spas that prey on the meathead fans and we buy into it. Grifol's dumb press conference is the most recent example. Chicago owners know they can screw over the fan base and we are too stubborn to ditch them.
-
Fire Rick Hahn
I posted it in the other thread regarding his remarks. It seemed like he knew nothing about these guys and the Chicago media is spineless to not badger the line that this is now a second rebuild. Nobody should care about who they got or how the trade was handled with Gio or Lopez when he is in front of the mic he should questioned for his unaccountability.
-
Hahn's comments...
If you listen to that press conference you can tell he knows nothing about either prospect other than the basic stats. A real GM can give some detailed insight on the guys. The trade thread has greater detail then what he knows about them. Who gives a rats ass that the guy was young for AA. What can he do and what is his scouted skillset. How does nobody ask him why Lucas was not extended and call him out? Chicago media is just epic failures.

Giolito & Reynaldo to LAA. Update: Angels put on waivers
Only hope is that grifol can actually do this and he is reassigned in the organization. Probably a bit robust thinking for this clown car.
