    TCF bank sucks.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 05:05 PM) Again, banks must keep track of all customers. Federal Law. Well, I set it up online, and then made a deposit at a Chicago branch, and asked the teller if there was anything they needed to see from my end for the account and they said no. Thats what really pissed me off, that I went there, they took my money, and I asked them if they needed anything and they said no while they gladly too my check.
  2. I have a pair of Sennheiser EH150s, about $30 on amazon. Theyre good, not great, everything is good about them, but nothing great, so they are a good value at that deal but you wont be blown away. They arent earbuds though. Sennheiser is a very solid brand to buy though, and some of their more expensive products are said to be even better than Bose. Check cnet for reviews, I find them to be pretty helpful when looking for products. A little bit more random: If you want speakers for your computer, get the Logitech z-2300 (2.1) or the z-5500 (5.1). The bass is flat out amazing.
  3. QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 04:08 PM) Caught a Sox game in Detroit a few years back, absolutely loved Comerica. I was expecting a s***hole but it's a really really nice park. Detroit is goofy, the hole place is a damn toilet except for the block where Comerica Park and Ford Field are. And while a lot of people b**** about Tigers fans being jerks, they were very cool. Of course, it was at the height of their horrendous years so they really didn't care about the team anyways. Trust me, Ive gone when they were actually good and attendance shot up. The fans there are just complete dumbasses. Every single popup the whole stadium rose thinking it was a homerun. Then when the ball came down in the infield they were greatly disappointed. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 04:48 PM) Comerica Park - big, beautiful ballpark, $20 parking 30 feet from the front entrance back then which is a good thing in Detroit For bolded parts: That is definitely true. My girlfriend's grandparents live in a "upscale" condo complex right on the river, and is really close to Ford Field, Comerica, etc, and the blocks surrounding those places are like a nice city, but go one more block and you know youre in Detroit.
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 03:06 PM) Wise in CF? Are we really talking like that's a legitimate option for this team? Over/Under us scoring one run in this game with this lineup.

    TCF bank sucks.

Citibank is awful. I was trying to set up a new account because Chase was only offering .05 interest rate for my savings and I thought that was ridiculous. So Citibank is offering a good rate so I go with them. But, I am down in Urbana, not Chicago, so there is no location here for me to visit, and when they keep asking for proof that I live at my home address in Chicago, I have no way of getting it to them. They keep saying that I need to visit a branch, and I mustve told them 50 times thats I cant just leave campus to visit a location 2 1/2 hours away, and they just said I need to visit a branch. I got so f***ing pissed at them, closed my account, and now Im stuck with The Country's Finest Bank. TCF by the way has a monopoly on college campuses, atleast in the Midwest. If only they were better...stop offering $50 gas cards and give me better customer service.
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 02:39 PM) Going from an audit role to a financial analyst position. It'll allow me to have more normal work hours while I'm getting my MBA (hopefully from USC) which will start in September. Did you enjoy working for Deloitte? They are really popular here and I have heard some good things about them, but not from anybody who has really worked for them.
  7. The Cell Comerica Olympic Stadium Wrigley Comerica was okay, pretty good viewing angles, like daa said, feels small even though it is huge. Food is not very good (atleast what I had) and the side attractions are way too ridiculous (they have a carousel and a merry-go-round). Fans there are incredibly stupid (sorry, it really has affected my view on the stadium). Olympic Stadium was empty (of course). They had about 5,000 people at the game, but tickets were dirt cheap. We got VIP seats behind the third base dugout for $20 each. Food wasnt good, place wasnt very clean (and the seats were multicolored, a look that screams cheapass/dirty to me). Was kinda cool to be there. (We only went there because I was with a friend's family in New York for vacation and the Red Sox and Yankees were sold out and we really wanted to go to a ballgame, plus they were playing the Rockies so we had some guys who we could try to autographs from like Walker, Castillo, and of course Vlad was on the Expos.)
  8. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 06:03 PM) Lets let him play some games behind the plate over the year with instruction before we write him off. Agreed, he's played what, one season behind the plate? He's gonna struggle mightily for awhile, and hopefully within 2 years hes good enough to be our starting catcher. Personally, I am fine with him as long as he learns to block bad pitches, can throw out atleast what AJ is, and most importantly calls a great game. That last part is most important to me (not saying the other stuff doesnt matter).
  9. QUOTE (FranktheTank35 @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 04:14 PM) where can i find the free audio feed? MLB.com wants me to login, then subscribe.. I did the link for the radio that wasnt WSCR and it worked, but WSCR link wanted me to subscribe.
  10. Going for BS in Business Administration (probably IS/IT management) with a minor in English.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 24, 2009 -> 01:32 PM) Woot Woot...job offer received. 24% increase in salary, get to find out about the benefits and potential bonuses shortly. Most importantly I think I'll be going from 50+ hr's a week a good chunk of the year (currently doing 65 or so) to 40 hr's. Congrats!! I'll get my floormate to do the Korean Congratulation Dance/Song for you. If you havent seen someone do that yet, you should, cuz its hilarious.
  12. There is balance between the two arguments here. One side is saying stats beat out perception of a player, and that is true in that many times perception is changed by just one or two plays of greatness throughout a season mediocrity. The other is that perception beats out stats, that you know great defense or clutch hitting when you see it. Crede was an integral part of the 2005 WS Champ. team, I personally raved about him then. Unfortunately, his back gave out and you all know the story, his defense went downhill, his offense was limited, and he became a frequent flier to the DL. That to me is not a player that I want if I am trying to make it to the playoffs again. Thanks Joe Crede for all you have done for the White Sox. I wish you signed with the Giants so I could root for you more, but I wish you luck with the Twins as long a youre not playing verse us (thats my philosophy with any of my loved players, not just old Sox players). Now, Fields, Betemit, Viciedo, please fill those shoes so that we can have more of the great moments like those that Crede was a part of, because I know how I felt when we won the World Series, and I would lvoe to feel that again.
  13. Wait, is he only 6ft? I thought he was taller...just the descriptions of him make him sound like he's 6'5, no matter, height doesnt matter too much in this game, if your good your good.
  14. Never been a big fan of chicken on bones, I prefer the boneless kind...
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Feb 14, 2009 -> 08:59 PM) Matt Holliday doesn't even hit .275. The Cubs trade everything they have for Roy Halladay after the Blue Jays are done at the ASB and Harden goes down for the year. Like major league players? They dont have crap in the minors, especially not enough for Halladay. Edit: I know its a bold statement, but that trade is impossible unless the Cubs trade away major pieces for prospects and flip them or trade those major pieces to TOR.

    QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 05:18 PM) Foundation trilogy. Awesome. Truly is.

    Bragging a little

Congrats! Im there as a freshman now, whats she studying? If it's business I can help her choosing classes (personally, my advisor did not do a good job telling me what classes to take). And not to be creepy but if she's staying at ISR (not probable since its mostly sophomores and higher staying there) let me know since Ill be an RA there. Go Illini!
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 03:20 AM) Sure he is. I just don't understand the Crede hate around here. The guy is one of the reasons we won it all. OK, dispute that. I'm sure somebody will say he didn't do squat. He did. Difference between saying a player is bad and was bad. He is such a liability healthwise right now that the Sox are better off moving forward with cheaper, potentially better alternatives. I dont think anybody would truly discredit Crede as a Sox player contributing to the Championship team, but its a "what have you done fore me lately" game. And hes been injured for the past 3 years and has Boras as his agent. He couldve done more to stay with the Sox if he wanted to, such as get a new agent, but he didnt. Hes moving on, the Sox are moving on, and so should fans (root for him if you want, but STOP asking/praying for him to return).
  20. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 11, 2009 -> 05:36 PM) Im guessing Zimmerman, but knowing this type of question on this board it'll be Willie Harris Wow, this board is becoming predictable And how is your leading HR hitter only has 14? That's sad.
  21. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 11, 2009 -> 05:26 PM) Don't peek. Who tied for second on the 2008 Nationals in HRs? Im guessing Zimmerman, but knowing this type of question on this board it'll be Willie Harris
  22. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Feb 9, 2009 -> 08:55 AM) The show is over after the season. I know, Im just saying that I hope they dont make the Scrubs: Interns into a show, seems like theyre trying to gauge how it would be with these webisodes and seeing if the audience likes them.
  23. ^^^^^ Im just going to say that those were awful and I REALLY hope that doesnt turn into a show, its just so embarrassing to connect that with [scrubs].
  24. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Feb 7, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) IF it turned out the entire 05 team was on PEDs, would it change your opinion of them? Who cares if it helps your team win - this is why cheating is okay and should be acceptable. I wish our team cheated more if it meant more championships. Really? What type of morals did you grow up with?
  25. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 10:37 PM) Meacham sucks and Davis has been terrible lately. Ive never been a fan of Meacham, and was really surprised how well he contributed early in the season, but its been clear that he is in a major slump and/or isnt good. As little as Legion has proved himself to be all that much better, I think he needs to get the majority of minutes over Meacham. Legion has the chance to be the best shooter on the team, and we need him desperately to step up into that role.
