  1. Looks like really rough weather, including hail, coming. Then could be another delay later.
  2. Nobody would gave predicted Twins and Guardians would be in for battles today either. Well, CLE just went up 4-0. Minny 2-1 into 6th.
  3. Interesting twist. Hosmer first trip to KC with Red Sox this weekend since he left as a FA to SD.
  4. Big difference is Singer has much more confidence in his third pitch...change up. Great response by Sox offense right off the bat.
  5. Big difference in who decides to start versus continue a game...umpires and home team grounds crew.
  6. Where was he going with his lack of speed? Sharply hit grounder right to LFer.
  7. Great, our bullpen will surely win it after an extended delay...this season sheesh.
  8. Amazing, four players converging in short LCF and they communicated quite well with each other in CLE, no near collisions. Perfectly played.
  9. Counterintuive, especially with Sox home record and Lynn's struggled upon return.
  10. Fwiw, Guardians with a whopping eleven guys making big league debuts already this year. Quite similar to 2012 Sox. Chris Antonetti on broadcast and presented a set of really sound reasons for not making any deadline moves.
  11. Let's hope Tatis doesn't hit 15-20, lol. Actually, eight to ten would be a stretch for just six weeks or so after such an extended layoff. All that said, Yankees shouldn't have given up Jordan Montgomery.
  12. Where's the Kelenic homer off Cole? Suarez and Carlos Santana also took him deep in the first...6 runs total.
  13. Just when you thought Hahn couldn't top the extended offseason in terms of disappointing Sox fans...there's the missed trade deadline opportunities now.
  14. Everyone has talked about Giolito's fastball this season, for example. If you watch Joe Ryan today or Brady Singer at the time of draft, they were supposedly well short on stuff. Yet Ryan has one of the five best BAA in all of the AL, including relievers. Deceptive late movement at 90-92 and am impressive spin rate without sticky stuff. Solid scouting by the Rays and moreso the Twins for projecting that it would still play at the big league level. Not only is it deception and extension, but also about long vs. short arm action and how the ball comes out of his hand. Nola at his best has that same quality/characteristic.
  15. Too many problems with delays/cancellations this summer on commercial airlines? So bizarre…each day, the story seems to change.
  16. Why no mention of Pollock’s $12-13 million next year? The type of bad contract that’s soaking up way too much payroll flexibility…and forcing him into the OD starting roster rather than actually finding more than a band-aid back up for?
  17. https://www.cleveland.com/guardians/2022/08/guardians-activate-oscar-gonzalez-from-injured-list-make-franmil-reyes-option-official.html Why can’t the White Sox operate like this with vets vs. rookies (see Sosa or Burger this year, Vaughn last year, etc.) Seems impossible for TLR , unless it’s his weird Sheets obsession.
