  1. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) Crede about to bust the game wide open. probably the first time in crede's career he's been walked twice in the same game our scouting and front office people are f***ing idiots, i swear to god.
  2. Wow, I've never seen MacDougal not able to throw strikes before, this is weird.
  3. fundamentals of this team just continue to amaze me, seriously, is there another team as bad fundamentally all around as we've been the last couple years? 5 throws for a pick-off, balks, hilarious
  4. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 08:36 PM) It's nuts how much he's slowed down, and how fast. it's like 30 degrees outside, someone who's already slow is gonna be even slower in weather like that he'll probably pick up a few steps once the weather changes
  5. leadoff triple, ok this is a 5 inning game now starting now
  6. how many walks did we have that inning and hits, and only scored 2 runs? this team is gonna be harder to watch this year i have a feeling konerko barely making it to 2nd on that off-the-wall hit ball, and then not advancing to third, this team is so fundamentally flawed pretty much 4 through 9
  7. bad first game for jose, i didn't expect much different to be honest
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 07:31 PM) Ya, CQ couldn't turn around an 85MPH fastball. But good eye there to take the walk. Hopefully THome can deliver. I smell a double. seeing 70-72 then 85, would be like seeing 79-80 then 95, i doubt it had anything to do with him "not being able to turn around an 85mph fastball"
  9. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 9, 2009 -> 10:19 PM) People seem to not realize how special our pitching staff seems to be right now we're tied for first in the MLB in strikeouts, with 2 other teams. those 2 other teams have played a game more than we have. we have the second best ERA in all of baseball behind... the royals. yeah sample size, i know
  10. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Apr 9, 2009 -> 03:43 PM) LOL are you REALLY going to go there? i think you think you know what i was getting at, but you'd be wrong
  11. thank god we moved wise out of the leadoff spot, we might have lost! sup corpseball, at least the twins tigers and i think tribe lost
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 10:42 PM) Fields still needs to show that he has a prayer against a strong fastball. With that said, he showed a great eye tonight. With that said, Crede has looked pretty terrible so far this year, but that could be for a number of reasons He made a diving grab in the game tonight however, i'm sure twins fans all over the world are going "SEE, HE'S STILL GOOD" Give him 50 games and get back to me
  13. last year, ozzie would be a complete moron and bring in somebody like carrasco or macdougal (if he was on the team last year) when we actually had a chance at winning and the pen would crash in flames no macD or Dj ozzie, please
  14. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) Why is Betemit not pinch hitting for Wise? probably because he doesn't play center
  15. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 09:10 PM) I predict Soria will have issues in the ninth.... i wish i shared your optimism unless he has command issues, his 'stuff' is tailor made for our offense
  16. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 09:03 PM) I dont buy the whole thing about "they're not booing Wise, they're booing the situation" that's because they are booing wise, not the situation
  17. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 09:01 PM) throwing beer is obviously completely different.... i mean do i think it woudl suck to get booed by an entire stadium....but booing is the way the fans can voice their displeasure with the current situation....and i would boo (and did after dewaynes 4th AB yesterday) to voice my displeasure with KW and ozzie putting a bad baseball player on the field and getting bad results i think it's funny that, not the players POOR performance but, the booing, is what would ultimately lead the GM to make a change. don't you think he probably goes by stats before the fan's displeasure of the situation? i can't remember a professional sports GM making a change because the fans lead him to that decision
  18. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 08:59 PM) I'm going to back up daa here. Fans are not so much booing Wise, but the situation itself. Given the circumstances, we have every right to voice our displeasure with the lead off spot. please tony, i know you would not be one of the boo-birds at these games.
  19. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 08:58 PM) So if you have a bad GM, then you should cheer him on? If you have a bad owner, you should accept it? I understand that it doesnt help the player when he gets booed during a game, but you know what, he shouldnt be in that position in the first place, so what is really the only way for fans to show their frustration with the crap that is out there, its by booing the player that sucks to make their point that he shouldnt be playing. Sucks for Wise, but thats how the game goes. and calling out the morons for booing, sucks for the morons, but that's how life goes
