The Moncada Haterz get a little credence to their opinions as Moncada is taken off the top 50 most valuable trade pieces list at FanGraphs due to his lack of power this season (Anderson lands at #47 and Madrigal #44). Personally, I think this is insane.

If Marshall somehow gets out of this I can't wait for Hendriks to also not pitch in the 10th.

Nolan Gorman has 3 HRs tonight and 7 in his last 5 games. If he can even pretend to play 2B he's going to be a lot of fun.

It sucks for Madrigal to get hurt right as he was seemingly coming into his own as a player, but Mendick at 2B was probably our best bet to match the production of the starter in case of severe injury coming into the season.

There's no ability like availability, but he's still behind Buxton, Posey and Trout too even though they don't qualify.

I love Winker and he would really help out against RHP, but he is every bit as bad in LF as Eloy. I guess if the Reds wanted Mercedes in a trade it would clear a path to playing time for Winker. Of course I have no idea where Mercedes would play on the Reds.

Reynaldo Lopez is making his first start of the year in AAA tonight. Given what they have gotten from the starters and Kopech this year he seems like a pretty good #7 starter to me. Not that I would be against adding another arm capable of throwing 5+ innings in a major league game.

I don't think he'd be cheap, but they signed Kim and Profar this off-season so he's more expendable on the Padres than he would be for just about anyone else. I would be willing to give up Kopech for him.

I would see what Jake Cronenworth would cost you. He crushed RHP last year and can play all over the diamond so he wouldn't lose any value when Eloy comes back.

He is much more likely to lose his spot in the rotation than win the Cy Young. Of course I will also use this article to say KIKUCHI HIVE STAND UP so take my opinion with an extra small grain of salt.

Steven Hajjar made his debut tonight for Michigan 6.2 IP, 6H, 2ER, 1BB, 8K Mostly seen him mocked in the second round range (usually to the Tigers as a lazy pick since Fetter is their pitching coach now). Only his 5th start in college since he missed 2019 with an injury and only got 4 starts last year. Didn't get to watch the game, but from the highlights seemed like he was spotting the fastball pretty well. I'll be interested to follow him this year and see if he moves up the board at all.
