He's not picking on Robert. He named the best player on the team on purpose. He's acknowledging how good he is, and then saying Benetti is even somehow better at his job in order to illustrate how highly he regards Jason. Being better at your job than Andrew Vaughn is a seriously low bar and not much of a compliment.

We should try to be more like the Royals. They are obviously very good. Maybe hire a bunch of people from their front office and coaching staff, and sign a few former players. That should do it.
